Well..there is such a thing as *too* many characters in one book. But they all seem loosely related to others so it's managable. I do enjoy the tour of the commonwealth systems though..

NOOO! It's not until 2174 that they finally write a law and fine spammers! I love the idea of the e-butlers, sort of like our Siri's but far more advanced. The idea's presented here for communication, are very clever.

Gotta love the setup for the events of Episode I... All of the things.. the election of Padme,the setting up of Valurum...the placement of Viceroy Gunray.. the blockaid of Naboo, it all is setup here...

Very political, a bit wordy at times. Not always in a good way. The author does a great job in keeping the realism of the political motives but it gets a tad tangled.

So the rule of two for Sith was imposed by Darth Bane..but not eagerly followed, but successor Sith...even Tenebrous. It is pretty silly though, logically it just won't make sense..
And I love how Palpatine is a young kid, in school..I somehow can't picture it! Liking his backstory though, deeply politically divided between he and his father. Palpatine backs the "Pretender" to the throne of Naboo..

Ahh..so that's the reason why Plageius was so willing to kill Tenebrous.. They both had a fundamental difference in how they felt the Sith order should progress. Plageius felt too strongly in his own reasoning, and Tenebrous couldn't persuade him. Tenebrous looked elsewhere for another apprentice. In which he found Venemous...lol the names of these guys...

Great so far! Audio has some 'hard' edit points that are audible, and I really wish the author would have developed the relationship beween Plagueius and Darth Tenebrius. We don't really get a good foundation of the relationship..

Whoot Colin is back! Thanks Tick. So Tick, Colin and Kumoko, in an attempt to warn Sally/Molly about..ehh someone looking for her to do her harm, they run into and are trapped by 3Jane in the Alelph? Encounters her "mother" who is really 3Jane in disguise. Apparently 3Jane is who created the Aleph. And she's bitterly jealous of Angie Mitchell. Angie would have been massively central to the matrix

So...3Jane is back, and pissed as all hell at Angie because the "Gods" in the net favor her and give her all of these awesome powers lol. What a selfish prick...

Now there's my Molly Millions! Busts in, kicks Priors ass with all the sass from Neuromancer days! Her Sally persona is just too tame, I miss her being much more 'run n' gun'. Hope she continues kicking some ass again..

Mona..such a pathetic push over, god I feel bad for her... And it's so weird (cool) to see Bobby (the count) now all grown up and actually "worldly" no more a kid, and now condescending to Slick (who is in a similar situation to Bobby's back in Count Zero) Tables have turned!

Ah.. So Molly, now Sally, went to Europe after the Tessier-Ashpool job, but got involved in some crap with people and owed them money for a job she was contracted to do, but fled instead. Hence why she's being black mailed to kill Angie. Molly meets up with Finn's construct (he's dead now) and Kumiko pieces her past together, from the job with Case to where she is now..

Interesting way Gibson handles the full back story of the Tessier-Ashpools. Instead of just giving it to use straight out, he explains it as Angie watching a documentry on the family. And it's written as a sort of narrative of how the director shot the documentary..As stated...Gibson's writing has definitely improved

Gibson's writing has since improved vastly since Neuromancer...I actually feel bad for Mona.. A promise of a better life, just snatched away, and more people just out to use her... what a sad character.

Kumiko's story is the only one that doesn't seem to be really going anywhere... it seems like her story is more about viewing and telling the story of Molly/Sally. And I like the three character interaction of Cherry,Slick, and Geantry. And of course the unconscious Bobby. oh and LF...= Aleph...I get it...It's good to see a character in over his head, how bobby was in the previous book

So Angie seems to be in the midst of shooting something new. Porphrye, Piper Hill, Ng, Raebel, all set, costume and makeup designers come to fix Angie up for her new scene (simstim) Not sure if these are AI or not. I like Continuity...reminds me of Amazon's Alexa. Angie seems to be obsessed with beating out another stimsim star, Tally, and interested in Tessier-Ashpool?

Wow...so.. It took 3 novels..but I'm actually sort of enjoying this one. A bit too many characters, but interested in seeing how 'ol Steppin Razor/Sally Shears has in store for Yumika

Mona, Eddy and Prior (mona's stylist) get a plane out of Florida. Mona wanted to leave very badly. She admires Angie, whom she resembles. Finally find out how Eddy scores them a way out of Florida.. Cosmetic surgery to make her into Angie, so the real Angie can be killed.

I totally want a Colin-level bro.. AI that Kumiko uses as a spy. Also We have Mona, who's been sticking with the douche Eddy, in hopes to get out of Florida. And we have Slick, poor kid who's sort of indebited to Kid Afrika and is roped into taking K.A, his gf, and the unconscious body of Bobby in to stay with him in his apartment... of course my plead with his "landlord"

So Angela is "married' to Bobby.. Who's gone missing. Angela turned into a rich bitch, in an automated house surrounded by AI servant voices built in.
Kumiko befriends Sally while her father sent her to London because of a Yakuzi war going on... Sally is also a rich bitch, and is a business woman who's trying to oust Kumiko's father's business partner Swain. She has an informant/friend named Tick.

Kumiko, dotted on by Petal, father's "secretary". Has a "Ghost" given to her by her father.. sort of a robo-Jeeves... She comes from rich backgrounds, but doesn't seem to care about money or any of it's luxuary

Ah, and of course Mona... a cyber prostitute who looks like Angie, and dating a total scum bag, Eddy. Sadist who likes hearing about how Angie is mistreated..and how she wants it.

Angie = same Angie from Count Zero...a few years after book 2. She's living with some rich fool named Hilton Swift? Seems pretty clingy... Kumiko, Japanese girl, from rich father sent to London and Kid Africa... jockey? Has body of a guy who's put into unconscious state to hide from...someone... hookay...weird wild ride ahead...
