So things have jumped up a notch... Unfortunately it's to the point though where things got a tad too confusing, and I must go back and read listen to portions.

Oh man...I seriously have not been this devoted to some characters in a while. I was actually sad when the thought of Amos dying came up. The last time I had that was Arya from Game of Thrones. This is really..really a good sci fi book. The descriptions of the 'infected' humans are grossly detailed!

It's weird, while running, as I was listening, there was a point where I forgot I was reading a sci fi book related to space zombies, and I got more into the human interest side with Prax and May...

Wow, does everything character have a gritty, background which involves heart break and divorce, or child loss? Loving this book, maybe more so than the first. A plethora of character, just a tad hard to keep track of

Wow, this book delves much further into the political! Many new characters which is a bit good and a bit confusing... Loving it so far...

I'm really digging Miller's near obsession with Julie. But honestly, I'm not sure which "side" in all of this I should even be routing for. ..

lol...I love how Cpt. Holden stumbles into creating wars...And of course an evil corporation is behind it all. Was sort of hoping they wouldn't go that route...

I haven't read a book in a while, where I actually feel for the main characters! Not since I read Re-incarnations I think. Anyway, damn..the whole squad of marines? If they were from mars, that should prove that not all 'martians' are dicks and should restore some faith between Holden and the mars folks..

Damnit... but I may have to stop watching either the show or the reading the book...I can't keep track of both! They're actually different...

That being said the book >>> tv show. Way more politically based and more about the character problems...

How has this remained hidden? I actually feel bad that I only found out about it from the TV show the Expanse. Subtle and not-so-subtle differences between the two!

I blame the dull narrator. Still a good read once you keep the terms and characters straight. I still say this book, actually may be better off as a physical read due to the high amount of made up slang.

I can't believe Game of Thrones is an easier audio read than this... The "Thin" I heard as The "Finn" Threw me off!

Not a bad last story, but it's a bit more complex than it needs to be. Typical Martin actually. But I enjoy the Dunk/Egg tales.

Martin sure knows how to spin some rich backstory... The 2nd story of this series, in storyline is better than the first, but it's written a bit *too* much like a history of Westeros. Not bad, but lots of flash backs and history that breaks up the story.

I didn't realize this book technically isn't 'new' first 'book' came out in '98. But I love it, It's like a revisit to all of the houses and characters we heard about in the main GOTs series. It seems the knights (some) were more honorful and actually respected the station of their name much more then...

When is this crap going to end... You don't know how long 458 pages is until you're stuck in a bad book...

This book has gone downhill so quickly... The timing just doesn't feel real at all...

Good inner crew tension... but I'm not feeling like I feel the burden on our captain Bella....

Started out very bland..and sort of still is. But at least the prospect of treason or delusion keeps things interesting...

I gotta admit... I prefer the more film noir, mystery, 'whodunit' mix of the sci world..Now that it's out of that element, the story has sort of chilled down for me a bit.

So It's not just me, the story here is given out piecemeal. Gotta admit, not a huge fan of that style, it always makes me feel as though I'm playing catch up, but the way it's written here is done adequately. I can still follow along, but on audio it's a bit more difficult. Slashers vs Threshers! Sounds too close for audio!

Oh man, so apparently WWII never happened...all computing technology is stuck in the 1930's...And best of all the Enigma Crypto machine is being used to smuggle messages into the "E2" world. so cool...

So far this book goes way beyond a lot of the Sci Fi I normally read... The storyline still hasn't completely coalesced for me, but I think Reynolds is pacing it like this intentionally and it works perfectly. An alternate Earth after world war 2?? Technological stagnanted..such an interesting setting...

This current "reincarnation" of the Mao Zedong era communist block China is so good! The last two "reincarnations" have been the best of the book so far. It's a long one, but it's very interesting...just curious as to how accurate it is...

Loving the current 'reincartion' of the English occupation and the Catonese kid...but damn the narration is horrible...
