I'm liking this enough that I think I just want to buy my own copy. It's due back at the library today but it's obviously not getting there, and I always feel guilty about late fees so I'll probably take it back tomorrow, my head hanging in shame.

Blah. Such a cool premise ruined by a terribly sappy romance and a predictable ending.

"you farcical-lifeguard Lazarus?" Um, no. These insults they're using against each other ... just, no.

Oh yeah, I saw that one coming. A bit predictable.

The villains are called numa? That made me instantly think of this. I suppose that is scary.

I get that authors want to make their characters relatable, but does every teen girl have to feel like she's ugly and boring? And of course she has a sister who is gorgeous and looks nothing like her - at least they don't hate each other. We all have our insecurities, but why can't the girl think she's worth the attention of the cute boy without supernatural forces being in play?

I've tried to read three completely different books now but none of them are holding my attention. Time to kill some zombies.

Not sure if I am quite in the mood for this right now ... gonna try something different.

This is pretty much a Dexter clone, which I kind of had a feeling it would be.
