This is really a fantastic book.

In school, we learned about the world before ours, about the angels and gods that lived in the sky, ruling the earth with kind and loving hands. Some say those are just stories, but I don't believe that.

What should I read next?

I really wanted to quote the last line because it's one of the best-written endings I've read in a while, but holy spoilers, Batman.

I liked this though. It's worthy of the hype.

Anyone read any good middle grade lately?

I'm loving how this book is making the main character fall in love with science and not treating it like it's nerdy or weird for a girl to become interested in the world around her.

The day was growing steamy, and the ocean air smelled like warm olives.

I really like that description.

I haven't finished a novel since July, but Faye started the first in this series and it made me want to read the latest. It's set in Michigan in November so it's kind of perfect for right now. After starting this before bed I ended up around 57% at 5AM ... I fell victim to "Just One More Chapter" syndrome.

Guys, I'm not sure I'm gonna get through this book. I'm only 4% in and I've made 11 notes. It's really difficult to read when you're constantly rolling your eyes.
