I love the dynamic between the H and h in this one..... there is something terribly endearing and vulnerable about a "hard-edge" man constantly going out of his way to nurture those he cares about.... and Yes, I mean that basic and beautiful nurture that is cooking.

“Her bespectacled eyes were distant as she searched the shelves in her mind. She nodded to herself, hands waving daintily in the air as I followed her up and down the aisles of books.”

No one volunteers their ex's last name to their current lover after telling them how done-wrong they were without figuring that C.L. is going to lay a physical, financial or emotional smackdown.

I'm starting to think that perhaps Pearce is ESL or this is translated. Not only is the tensing insane and words frequently misused but fairly average English slang is being misused too.

K: While I admire that stance, I truly believe you should pick one tense and stick with it. Also, an editor would help with misusing "sweet" and "sweat" in a sentence...... Also misusing or skipping or awkward-bombing words entirely..... Think about it?

If I have ever read a book more desperately in need of an editor, I cannot recall it.....

Within the next hour, I will be unemployed for the first time since I was seventeen years old… I am full of nervous energy, some happy and some terrified, at the prospect of this. I’m looking forward to having time to participate in Camp Nanowrimo and to really sit down and think about my future.

I am officially 7 books behind on my annual challenge, 5 reviews (at last count) behind on reviews and looking at two more weeks of very little reading...

I love all the visiting and excitement going on right now #visitingbritsbeawesome but I'm exhausted and want to read now....
