I am really enjoying this so far, my only issue is her name: 'Vol' because although, I'm sure it's supposed to be pronounced VAUL keeps making me think of:

Every single time John Legend's 'All of Me' comes on the radio at work I get goose bumps, literally.

I am curious, and I wonder if Roach will touch on it, if there is a heightened % of people who have had a loved one saved by a "live organ transplant" who would volunteer to be a beating-heart cadaver? I speculate yes.

We're not talking about research that will help mankind save lives; we're talking about research that will help mankind take life. I suppose you could argue that policemen's and soldier's lives may be saved, but only by taking someone else's life first. Anyway, it's not a use for human tissue for which you are likely to get broad public support.

Hmmmmm, well I would take that argument on.

The inconsistency in this novel astounds me!! It's like they are teenagers and middle-aged at the same time! None of these motivations make any sense....

And STOP putting them in books to create 'dark pasts' for gooey love interests to fix

There's not much relationship advice I can give, I'm pretty shit at them myself (at least in general), but one thing I DO know is: if you start out a relationship, or maintain one, with a lie it WILL fester... You will destroy everything you love about that relationship, with self-loathing, anger, regret, selfishness... You will kill everything you told that lie for. Trust me.

Oh look it's a love triangle!! I guess I don't need to read THE HOST to check that category off :/
