- if this entire book is just slice of life raven boy shenanigans with good interpersonal drama and minimal plot i’d be so cool with that honestly

as much as i’m enjoying this book and the characters i am finding myself pretty disconnected from blue and her motivations at this point, so i hope she doesn’t continue to be overshadowed by the boys and all the complexity they’re currently bringing to the story

well!! that mystery did not stay mysterious for long!! still very interested in it though and how it potentially conflicts blue’s own vision. also how does adam KNOW that it’s his fault? is it just a feeling like how blue felt certain about things in her vision or is there more to it that hasn’t been revealed to us yet
also this seems like a god enough time to ask but uh who tf is noah and why is he here

okay prediction time: what did adam see in the tree? the “he” he’s referring to has to be either gansey or his dad right??? is he gonna kill his dad maybe?? or somehow do something awful to gansey??? i’m so curious i cannot WAIT to find out
also it’s hit me that there are FOUR books in this series and i’m ??? super interested to see how that plays out cause this is very much giving standalone/duo so far

this just keeps getting juicier i am SO in

three very interesting character developments to note:
1) my brain has decided that gansey is a strange amalgamation of darlington and john b which i am thrilled about honestly
2) adam has pointedly called ronan not straight (what could it mean)
3) gansey seems jealous of adam and blue in a very gay way but i’m almost positive it’s actually in a very straight way so. already sad for adam

something about the way the interactions between the boys are written is so incredibly interesting to me, like i feel like they’re somehow very blunt but also super vague at the same time???? it just feels like there’s SO much swimming under the surface of every word and movement

gansey and adam’s john b and jj vibes are off the charts rn i’m kinda freaking out

i was convinced for the longest time that this series must’ve been from the early 2000s based on these godawful covers but no! 2012! shocking
no but i’m into it so far

was apollo’s ending satisfying? yes absolutely. did it make up for the truly astounding number of pages i had to suffer through in his pov when we could’ve gotten more jacks??? NOPE

okay see NOW i get what all the fuss is about!!!! this book has all the cringe and annoying aspects from the first one but also has an actual plot and doesn’t have to waste time with exposition and has WAY more tension and the jacks backstory mystery so it’s much easier to enjoy despite all the eye rolling moments. now this is the kind of low stakes semi-trash good time i was looking for
