It’s that you stopped feeling attracted to your partner because the relationship stopped working. When you and your partner stop resonating physically, emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually, you will stop resonating sexually.

Often the chemistry isn’t gone —it’s just buried underneath piles of unexpressed feelings and bad habits. With hard work and emotional retraining, it’s possible not only to rediscover the passion but also to experience more love and intimacy than you did before.

In a bad relationship, one partner will sacrifice or modify his Sexual Style to please the other or to avoid conflict.

In a good relationship, you and your partner will create a Sexual Style that’s a synthesis of the best parts of each of you.

How can you figure out someone’s Sexual Style? The only way I know of is to have sex with him or her. Soon you will know all there is to know! You will either love it, hate it, or like some parts but not others. And your partner will have his or her own opinions about your Sexual Style.

If you’re married, at least take the time to have a very frank discussion with your partner about physical compatibility in order to avoid any sexual blocks on your wedding night!

That’s why it’s so important that you make sure before you become seriously involved with someone that the right kind of chemistry exists between the two of you.

Physical attraction is one element of a compatible relationship, but it alone will not be enough to make you and your partner compatible. For total compatibility you’ll also need mental attraction, emotional attraction, and spiritual attraction (see Chapter Ten). Otherwise your relationship will be a case of Lust Blindness, based purely on your sexual resonance.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY NEEDS TO EXIST BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR PARTNER IN SOME FORM IN ORDER TO DISTINGUISH YOUR RELATIONSHIP FROM A FRIENDSHIP.

Relationships are much easier when you’re with a positive person. You work through conflict faster; there’s less blame and more cooperation. Most of all, there’s more love.

Positive people:

Always focus on finding the solution.
Turn obstacles into opportunities and adversity into lessons.
Trust in their ability to make a difference.
Believe that things can always get better.
Use their vision to change their reality.

He expresses his self-confidence by taking action in his life.

THE MORE YOU LOVE YOURSELF, THE LESS YOU’LL ALLOW OTHERS TO MISTREAT YOU.

He doesn’t allow others to abuse him.

You can tell how someone feels about himself by observing how he treats himself.

Your partner doesn’t abuse himself, but takes good care of himself.

You need a partner who has some satisfaction with who he is now and who he’s becoming.
