The war part is seriously boring (I guess it's me, not him). He finally seems to grow after the Nazi incident and not just blame it on others (how some articles are reporting that episode - and yet, in a chapter in his childhood he did do that mostly, but read the whole book first maybe before publishing stuff?)

That's it, I am attached to them now. Although this volume is rather unfocused and filler-y.

It's not nearly as bad as some articles make it seem. It's quite nice and genuine, but it lacks in some areas - he fails to see other people's point of view of a situation. Plus all the moments where he seems to mind when the girls are into girly stuff is getting on my nerves.

Daddy's Rule was okay, a tad bit uneventful.

Time to reread this classic for the book club.

Adoring Little Amanda - why would you nickname her Manda? Why? How does that make sense? Is it an American thing?

I wish this was a thriller with multiple POVs. Things are just too linear...

Reminder for myself to research the age of the heroine before reading any other erotica novels in 2023. If she is not 30 and an independent woman, I do not read it!

Also... there is no need to constantly say "blahhblahblah" my father said, "blah blah" max said, "blah bla bla bal" my father asks!!! OMG!

Oh dear god, I cannot stand this heroine. I get it, she has issues, but seriously, she can be so narrow-minded and obtuse!!

And I get that she has daddy issues - but that doesn't mean you can be so entitled and judgmental. I roll my issues constantly. The hero is nice - the usual cold broody male I like to see in my stories - but not paired with such an annoying heroine.

I have more to complain about - so his apartment is the only one on the entire floor yet he hurries to get her inside because she is only dressed in her sexy nightgown - I mean, who is gonna see her, dude? YOU OWN THE ENTIRE FLOOR! THERE IS LITERALLY JUST ONE DOOR!

We all know there are two types of steamy reads: the one focused on plot and character and the one where we don't really care, we just want the goods - but we also want to be some kind of plot or something so why are these two characters (she hates him) shagging already - I feel like I skipped a few pages or something!!! Also the heroine is incredibly annoying!

The kid in this book is the most annoying kid ever........

I really enjoy how this one started and even giggled out loud.

Noo, I was hoping for a cute side-kick!

Well, that went exactly as I expected.

Only 3 chapters in and it's already better than the first book.
