Just making a note that I started this book. I enjoyed what I read. I want to continue reading it when I finished Roger Rabbit.

So, the funny thing is that thanks to reading the background story of Luke, the opening of this book is put into more context which is making is much easier to get into things! Had I not read "The Legend of Luke" I likely would have been more confused than anything to why this was happening, but having that background really did help. We're on the right path!

Alright, one chapter - just ONE chapter - and I'm already more interested in who Martin is and his journey than I was in the ENTIRE novel of "The Legend of Luke!" Excellent start!

Ah, even though it's late and I should be sleeping I just HAD to read two more chapters! Sue me...

NOW the book is getting more interesting! I suspected once Luke came into the picture I would enjoy it more. I had heard that this book was more like 1.5 of the series, and I'm starting to see why. Whether this will make the next book ("Martin the Warrior") more or less confusing, we'll have to see. So far I'm loving the tale of Luke though! Let's continue to see where it goes!

Alright...I'm FINALLY going to finish this Roger Rabbit novel! Don't know why I waited so long. Starting back up I was reminded of how clever the book is! Seems like it will be easy to finish now!

And now...we finally get to hear the tale of Luke, the character who this book is named after.

What a moving story. The stuff with the grandpa...so sad. Nearing the finish line! I anticipate how it all is going to end.

I actually started this book awhile ago. I'm committed to finishing books as I read the Redwall series. Unlike other books I'm doing this with though, I probably won't pick up this until January. I've still got a book challenge to plow through, and this has been one difficult read.

Officially hooked! I'll likely have this boo finished before the week is up!

Alright, even though I think I should have read Martin the Warrior next, but I'm into the groove of the story, the story is interesting, and so I might as well finish it. Still no Luke though...

I'm certainly feeling a little lost. Might have to put this aside and move on to the next book. I'll give it just a little more time though.

Just started the new Redwall book. So far I'm wondering if I'm on the right book. I know this is technically 1.5 in the series, but it's introduced a title character in the next novel as if he were established. Since there's a huge flashback I'm going to assume that will all be explained, but if I get too lost I'll pause this and read the next novel before finishing this one.

Book two finished and book three begins! Brian Jacques has done an excellent job of creating an army of characters I genuinely like and am rooting to win (and some to lose). I'm hoping Ungatt ends up being as menacing a foe as he's been built up to be (he's certainly getting nastier)!

What an exciting battle! What a sad death...!

Annddd....finished Book One. Apparently there are books within this book. Wonder if the rest of the novels are going to be like this?

I'm not sure if I like the mole joining the group on their journey...

Yep, so far Dotti is stealing the show!

So there is an underlying environmental message. I have to say...it snuck up on me. The way it's being handled is poetic and subtle for children's literature.

Alright, I had to read one more chapter tonight. That is a sign that I'm hooked on a good book! But I must. Go. To. Bed...

A week or so ago I bought this book on a blind eye. It's clearly made with kids in mind, but it is so far an enchanting and charming read. I suspect I'll be finishing it soon!

It's time I jump into the world of "Redwall." My Uncle Ning bought my brother almost the entire series years ago. I'm not sure if he ever read them. Never-the-less, my mom found them and I decided that I would jump into it. Right off the bat I'm impressed with the world and am falling love with the characters (especially Dotti, who has a bubbly personality with charm to spare).

So far, this has easily become the least interesting entry in the (for lack of a better term) 'Roger Rabbit series.' Granted, it's much funnier now that Roger Rabbit is in it, but it's starting to dawn on me how frustrating it is that Eddie really doesn't change throughout any of the books. Also, no sign of Jessica yet, so...you know.

I'm not entirely sure how the Roger Rabbit novels operate. The first book was fairly self-contained. The sequel more or less ignored the first novel and followed the movie more closely. This book starts out as if we are starting from scratch again, yet aspects of the movie are still referenced. It seems weird that Eddie still doesn't enjoy being around Roger at this point. But...let's see where this goes.

I've been slow to get through this one, but that may be because some stories are more interesting than others. I'll finish it though...I need something to read waiting for the last two books.

Mystery is starting to pick up some more! Still takes getting used to the fact that there is a new lead character (David is more of a supporting character this time around), but so far still riveting!

Well...THAT was a good story! I have come to realize this is note going to be a typical book. With so many different stories, some will be good, and some will be bad. "The Sons of Dragons" though is already a highlight for me!

Only got through the intro but this might be one of the best surprise reads in recent memory.
