You know how there’s a Bechdel test for women in literature? How about, instead of finding more things to make women feel guilty about, we make a test for male authors, who seem incapable of writing one single literary fiction book where the breasts of barely pubescent girls aren’t mentioned?

unexpected turn of events

i’ve discovered the shadow and bone series on netflix (the first time i’m watching a tv show alone in like, 5-6 years ???) and now i’m thoroughly obsessed with this franchise

i'm procrastinating reading this because i don't want it to end :(

This reminds me a LOT of Mistborn (which isn’t necessarily a criticism). Kaz and Kelsier share a lot of the same flaws, Inej reminds me of Vin, Wylan is like the love interest in Mistborn

okay so far this is really great bUT i don't understand why all the characters have to be 18 years old or less, it's weird being older than them and feeling like they're more mature than me 😭
