So, now we have the MC, supposedly suffering from OCD saying that he doesn't need to be "fixed."

First off, OCD is not just needing to have things neat, clean, quiet & orderly; it also has a component of repetitive behavior & disordered thoughts. I'm not reading that here...

Also, yes, OCD needs to be treated before it becomes debilitating.

OK, so I knew what I was getting into by reading this. but I'm having issues with how "consent" is being defined. Supposedly the Android can say no. I'll wait to see if that happens - because if a robot is programmed to have sex with the owner, is it actually consent? There's also a bit about how sex with someone else would be reported to the board...but if he WANTS to have sex with someone else, isn't that consent?

Oh...well, I was hoping we'd get some of the chapters from Toval's POV but it looks like that is not the case at all. #Disappointed

I don't know why Crane's mental cursing of Stephen here always makes me LOL, but it does. Reminds me of how I ranted a bit when in labor.

I'll admit it: I wanted something with descriptions of cold weather given it's been mid-90s here all week; that was about the extent of why I picked this book. Oh & I could borrow it.

BUT! I'm actually really liking it! Both MCs are interesting & the story is engaging. PLUS - SNOW! Lots of it. (Yes, I was hoping for some vicarious cooling down...only the sex scenes aren't helping me stay cool. They're too HAWT.)

Okay, that one was hot with the girlfriend directing the action between her guy and his best friend. But it really was just PWP.

OK, this has been driving me nuts for years & it's all over this book...so I just gotta ask some of you Brits:

What the fuck is up with "revision"?

Does it have something to do with re-writing all of the coursework notes? Because otherwise using that word makes no sense. e.g.: a book with the disclaimer "revised edition". To you Brits does that mean it's a study book, no matter the genre? Because it's "revised"?

That evening, Ryan had given up on studying and was searching for male models on Pinterest - for science.

Okay, this MMF story was interesting. Brutal, honest...a little sad & pathetic.

I didn't care much for the FMC's attitude (snotty, elitist, judgmental) but no one really deserves to be the pawn in some weird power-based relationship game (?) when they're just looking for an escape...or to belong, to be wanted.

Of course, that bit where Grant shoots her down for being greedy? That's the brutally honest part.

Hmmm. Okay, the story with the 3 guys was more PWP. Hot enough, but nothing at all like the previous one. In some ways it read like a male-gaze fantasy with the dirty sheets & greedy sex...if it weren't for Elliot pining for his friend Mike, that is.

Okay, so it was more the difference between them and Gannon's sex appeal in general, not so much the color of his skin, that Mike finds attractive. *whew* I feel better about reading more of this now...

What the hell? I'm all for including POC (and have been actively looking for POC MCs in my TBR) but this is my second story in one night where it feels like the African American character is fetishized.

The scene only just started so I'm gonna give it a little leeway & not jump to conclusions yet.

But it irks me to think I just raved over the previous story set-up in this book...

Oh JFC, Dorian Bane. His voice is so gravely and rough and hot and I have a feeling this is gonna be a one-handed listen.

MFM (straight) menage is not usually my cuppa - and in this case the sex scenes were pretty much par for the course. BUT OMFG the way the author set up the scenario, how she painted the FMC. I'm just...I'm impressed, honestly.

The desire for a menage, the yearning, the regrets, the fear, the excitement, the worry, the whole build-up to the meet-n-greet with those 2 guys was just PHENOMENAL. And immensely relatable.

I already finished my BINGO Mpreg read...but this one also caught my eye. I've read a few of Dessa's shifter books & since they were ridiculously dirtybadwronggood I thought I'd give it a try.

So far, it's weirdly interesting. And hella different. I have NO IDEA where the story is going...but Devon's depression is definitely relatable.

Oh, I forgot about this one...should probably finish it soon-ish? For some reason this one didn't hold my interest like the others did (I read those back to back almost).

So. While it's not ground-breakingly awesome or whatever, I was sort of enjoying this. Until Thane brings home his sort-of-not-boyfriend from the hospital (after the guy "accidentally" tries to kill himself) and immediately wants to fuck.

I think if it were Maddeninstigating it instead of Thane, desperate for the connection & life affirmation of good sex after that ordeal, it would sit better w/me.

Hmmm...this one is turning out to be pretty interesting. Definitely different than a lot of the A/O stories I've read lately with the Omega so hell-bent on revenge, fighting/raiding, and generally not acting like a "typical" Omega. And the Alpha is supportive (to an extent) of the Omega's goals.

Has anyone of you guys read the books that accompany these Clan Beginnings books, when the clan gets their female member?

I've read some reviews and it seems like once there's vag involved the guys are no longer lovers, that these tight emotional & intimate bonds don't seem to be as important...which is kind of a disappointment.

I've got 4 books to read for BINGO, 4 ARCs, plus so many other challenge books to finish...so of course I'm working on those, right?

Yeah, no. For the most part I'm skimming my Kindle carousel & reading the first chapter (or less) of anything w/an interesting cover.

Too bad the stories aren't living up to those covers. What a shameful waste.

I'm probably gonna end up watching the new Lost in Space on Netflix.

OMG how awesome is this whole scene? No, "you just haven't met the right person" fob-off. No Magic Peen to fix everything.

It's awful that Spencer is dealing with ED at such a young age, but I LOVE that Emilio wants to work through it with him, to look for what might be the underlying cause(s).

Also, that bit with Emilio's sister? Where she urges him to check for what Spencer might want when it comes to sex? ADORE.

Every time Gerard whines, "But the treaty!" somehow reminds me of that ridiculous refrain of, "But...but...but her emails!" And it's as annoying here as it is in the news...while also being funny because it's a useless complaint.

Happy 4/20 ya'll! After dinner I think I might head up to the dispensery to see what kinda brownies they've got in stock...

Wow, you know Emilio is kinda pushy and a whole lot cocky...and usually that's really off-putting, especially when the character is so young. But for some reason I'm finding it hot. I'm blaming Aaron Pickering's sexy narration. I've never listened to him before but I do have a couple of the books he voiced on my TBR...so I might check out a few more!
