I'm not loving this one so far, as an external goal doesn't seem to be with us & I skipped ahead to a scene that's ... mildly uncomfortable to say the least. 😅 The writing style is gorgeous, though!

I think I'm too dumb to understand what is going on. 😅 This feels like a fever dream.

I'm unsure of how much of this is fact or fiction, but it's ... interesting to say the least.

I'm literally going to start a list in my Notes app of all the quotes that have resonated with me so far, because there are SO MANY. This book is just as—if not more—insightful the second time around. 😄

Not six characters pairing up without any prior foreshadowing, four of them being side characters 😅

My prediction is this is the book that Benji dies in & I'm not sure if I can emotionally handle that 😅

I reserved this book at the library several months ago and it finally was ready to read. The timing is perfect too, it's a fun throwback to 2021, when I spent Thanksgiving reading Cytonic 😆

Needless to say, I AM SO EXCITED. Also we need to see more Skyward Flight characters and more Spensa + Jorgen scenes (YES I SHIP)

I swore I wasn't going to do this buuuttt ... I'm beta-reading a really good novel that is already hurting my heart and I want to track it, so here I am.

Okay, I'll admit it: I bought this book solely because of the pretty cover (it's even better in person) and the friendship themes, despite never having heard of it before. Very uncharacteristic of me, I know.

BUT. I have high expectations and the fact that it's about beekeeping—which the author has experience with—is another aspect that piques my interest!

This book is making me fall in love with words again.

Definitely struggling to connect the "story world" to the reality of the plot—but it's very interesting & insightful so far!

Okay how is the writing style so good though. Makes me want to fill my own stories with such rich and unexpected vocabulary 😄

The descriptions of the drought make me so sad. Like, I literally had to take a break to water my plants and thank God for water 😅

Okay, I know what you're thinking.

Books like this are usually not my cup of tea. I have a love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with most YA contemporaries, not to mention this one is primarily romance. 😆

BUT. In an attempt to read more rom-coms to pacify the romantics in my life, here I am.

This will be an interesting ride.

Jay is kind of a walking red flag 😅
