This is an enjoyable read. I am not comfortable with the idea of polygamous relationships in my personal life. If others want a polyamourus relationship - they are welcome to it, but it is not my cup of tea. I can understand while in the military poly relationships might be attractive, I can not imagine it it today's society accepted as it is in the books.

The attack on the police station with Corp. Yazdi could have been better explained in a way that would not have made the Marine appear as a cold-blooded killer. The sudden fling with another Marine after escaping the planet was unexpected. Still a good story and the drama with Anna will be interesting to see how it ends. I just need to get the last two books in this series.

This book took off right where the previous left off. Poor Mr. Helfort discovers that no one likes live heroes. Ostracized by his heroic actions, Helfort in his new command finds himself with no friends. I am at the point now where a second ship has been shot out from underneath Helfort. I hope that he does not end up in command again, as a LTJG suddenly in command twice in a row is highly improbable.

Reunited with her lover Jotan, Zarq is on the run from Temple and her former supporter who no longer believes that she is the Skykeeper's Daughter.
