More lesbian sex, bestiality, and a few unexpected character deaths. As the story comes to a close it will be interesting to discover what happens to Zarq. She realizes her addiction to venom but will she succumb or be triumphant?

The lesbian sex and bestiality continue. If you are offended by slavery, and the before mentioned things I suggest you skip this book. I read Tanith Lee as well, and Cross has nothing on Lee for perverse subject matter in her books.

Poor Zarq, her situation just gets worse the more pages I read. Little better than a slave on her dragon estate, she finds herself subjected to all the same -isms as before - sexism, classism, and racism. The lords being able to ride through a village and take women for their pleasure reminds me of Iraq under Saddam. Saddam Hussein's sons were famous for raping women much like in this book.

This book picks right up where the previous one left off. Our heroine now owns, through a proxy, her own clutch, but finds herself little more than a slave. So far a good read, but not one that I will keep or reread.

I grabbed the Dragon Temple Trilogy on a whim. I found the third book at my local used book store and figured I should read the first two first. A good enough read but not enough to keep in my personal library. Caution: these books are dark fantasy containing rampant bestiality, female circumcision, some lesbian sex (meh - I've read better), and slavery.

A very enjoyable tale told from the perspective of a common Hittite soldier. If you are familiar with the Iliad, than you know the premise of this tale but told from another view.

I have always liked Homer's Iliad, but I will admit that this is a much easier and more entertaining way to read the tale. Good historical fiction told from the perspective of a common soldier is rare.

I was excited to hear this author started a new series. I enjoy his other books. This (as far as I know) is Dietz's first foray into Urban SciFi. I like the character, and the book grabbed me from the first pages.

The story has gotten much better. At first I was disappointed that this book was based on a video game. The author has done enough to make me forget the video game basis, and enjoy the story. I am disappointed Nathan was easily subdued by the Coalition but I believe it was a plot device. If Nathan and the other Sentinels are supposed to be extremely quick and resilient, some rebels would be enough to subdue him.

I was disappointed that this book was based on a video game. I usually do not read books based on video games as they are not usually worth reading. I admit that the start of this book reinforced my low opinion of game-based fiction books. However, about a hundred pages into the book, it has started to get really good - typical for this author. I doubt I will keep this book in my collection, but it is a good read.
