Henry & Ingrid have their wedding, the president attends then gets kidnapped w/ Billy. Red, SS agent, was the leak and now dead. Pres got shot by terrorist at end but went into surgery & critical. They didn't describe why they took Billy, especially since he fought with them and shot others who had done the same. Henry's dad arrested at the end.

Bio dad tell him if he is "reset" he will fix the prob, but he won't know anything afterwards. Henry decides to do it, then changes his mind and sticks Ewen in machine instead. Now he's the one with infant brain.

Ingrid gets assigned 30 year old murder and it turns out his mother killed this girl after she caught her having an affair with Pres's dad. Girl got greedy. Her confession is on this flash drive she is looking for. He finds out his dad is not his bio dad. It's this crazy CIA black ops leader who wants to experiment on Henry. His sleep prob is from his mom testing sleep enhancement while pregnant.

Henry and Ingrid charter a plane and take a week's vacation to Alaska at solstice so that Henry can see the sun rise. Ingrid is pregnant, Henry is upset and goes for run. There is earthquake, he's washed down river, they try to run back to Fairbanks during hour. He meets Eskimo boy who helps him. They get lost, then Opik gets injured, Lassie gone, Opik infected. It's all a ruse by his mother at CIA site.

Book 2: Agency looking for his mother finds her prints on a dead woman found shot in the river. DVD delivery, movie review, and wikipedia lead him to a deserted black site. Mom's CIA now killed and marked as terrorist. He finds site, CIA director tortures him about 2nd location, but he gets it from dir. Pres recording and burst in after 2nd site location. Mom's death was fabrication.

Police think it's him, then they arrest Pres. She pawned watch that was Pres's son's. He & his dad drove to Vegas to talk to son. She changed her name more than once. She was blackmailing pres saying she is his daughter. They sched meetup with her mother. Her father killed her after destroying his life. He is Ray's partner with police. Pres driver kills him w/ sniper rifle after he takes hostages.

Finished 1st book. Lassie the cat provides comic relief when Henry "talks" to the cat. Henry hears woman scream and sees President leave. Next night checks out house and sees her strangled to death on car. Cell phone rings under car. H sleeps in closet then calls in tip about her death. He forgets to put phone back and leaves fingerprints. phone is pres's.

Joan doesn't end up with Nate, he was the rebound guy. At end, she hooks up with Dr from the museum visitor's group. He mother moves to NY and starts modeling again. She sells the house and starts to make her own way.

She has fling with guy from airplane and revisits him when she thinks that he could have stolen the sketches. She goes on a treasure hunt following clues and getting photocopies of her father's journal pages. Nate goes on these adventures with her either to get out or to make sure that she is safe. In the end, man her mother had dated paid for sketches and arranged for all the cat and mouse going on.

Ceony reads Thane's fortune and sees herself in his image of a family with two boys. She doesn't tell him what she sees.

Both Ceony and Lila go for the knife and Ceony gets it first, swinging around, it severely cuts Lila's face. She is bleeding so badly that she can't heal herself and blood is everywhere. Ceony takes a somewhat dry piece of paper and uses the blood as ink to write a story to read. It actually freezes Lila where she is and Ceony flees with the heart and a boat is coming in.

Ceony falls for Thane even though he is odd. The path after Thane's heart is ripped out is through the chambers of his heart. She sees the high moments, his hopes, his regrets, and his uncertainties. He eventually helps her get out of his heart and she must battle Lila.

at 1:15 played and her day was that bad and she is full of silly trivia, but I find I am just not that interested in her as a person. The brief shot of the guard we saw was interesting. I am putting this in the DNF pile. It is going off of plus availability anyway.

Opens with her presenting at her museum and getting hit on by a patron. Husband comes in and tells her about twin his 5-year-old boys. She arranges to divorce him and puts her story out first. Changes the locks on her house and stays in a hotel for when husband returns from his trip. Sees patron at hotel bar.

Kid inherited a fortune from Gpa when dad died and laid siege to D.C. to expose that senator gave away nuclear secrets to Russia to ensure peace through possibility of assured mutual destruction.

Lord husband tried to kill Kiera, his wife, and her maid by taking them out on a boat and framing Kiera for the death. He was killed in melee. Gage rescued Kiera from drowning and kissed her at that time, but Kiera doesn't know if it was a dream. Book ends of foreshadowing of them working together soon unknown to them of Gage's next case. He admitted to her that he was wrong for not listening to her.

Gage placed a lady and her maid in house arrest awaiting magistrate. Kiera is having doubts but has not mention them to Gage. Lady is barren and desperately wants a child and it seems she could not have done this nor had the strength to move stones, make death cut, and dig a grave for baby girl. Her husband just stood by and didn't support her at all.

Reverend's son sees Lucy, starts teaching her to read, his mother takes over after some training. After 5 years, Lucy is going off to school and Sam has fallen for her. 1st Sam to this point. Cruelty of local townsfolk pronounced.

Deliciously Gothic tone. Many characters at house party. Opened with murder discovery. Really feel her stress about her past husband. Income from art interesting.

They trade the ship for a helmet, so the dark lady won't blow up Denver destroying it. Then the gnomes locate it under ice in Antarticia. They try to sabotage the engines, but they have fixed it all up and are trying to steal it from their master and take off. They make it to the escape pod before the gnomes destroy it for taking off and possibly being noticed.

There are more curse words than I would like.

Lydia's husband had trouble in the bedroom and sought treatment. He did go to men at one time and this was used to extort him over the captain's death. The killing on the peninsula was so Breakenridge could get a promotion. The pugilist was both a gay lover and a murder. All but one of the officers involved was killed.

He had an affair with Lydia Westin while searching for her husband's murder. She was pregnant and he was going to try to marry her. Instead, she got an abortion and was very sick. It was from before her husband was killed. The daughter's fiancé had raped her. He also found out his wife is still alive living under a different name.

He eventually realizes that he wants her without forcing her to stay with him. She realizes that Freddie won't make her happy. Then she travels to New York to make up with him. After they split, he sent her the ruby necklace set he had bought 5 years before in Copenhagen.

Sylvia knows nothing about her father and her mother hid her background from her 2 children. She will live with Daisy for now. The exhibit director and the artist friend worked together to steal the painting. They pointed the finger to a worker that was also killed.

A similar plot set up to "The Watchmaker's Daughter". Sylvia is now an orphan and barely getting by. She seeks out Gabe to contact India about the silver magician note from her brother's journal. He is a renowned war hero and supposedly artless. There are times when he can seem to move incredibly fast. He up ends her job at the library, he gets her a job at the Glass Library.

Odd listening to the voices that used to be India and Matt are now Sylvia and Gabe. Halfway through we discover Gabe is engaged to Ivy a leather magician. Gabe starts to move Sylvia into his house when she is in danger from someone in the investigation and Ivy is OK with this. She can't go back to her boarding house and other respectable houses won't take her without a current recommendation.

Right after Spanish flu also

1920 - Shortly after the Great War. Mr. Palmer is the misogynist librarian. Daisy is a friend who snuck into the library to talk. Sylvia is the first female employee. Mr. Palmer chose her over wounded war veterans.
