This book is so amazing! I'm almost 1,200 pages in and it STILL keeps getting better and better! I can totally undersatnd why even this guy can't put the book down...

"You seduced me."
"Seduced?" She glanced back at him. "I've never been more open and honest in my life."
"I know. That was the seductive part."
That...was...beautiful...

You would think that after almost a thousand pages, my interest would be waning some, but...nope! This book...STILL AWESOME! :D

"I hate being wrong."
Those four simple words made for one of the most powerful moments yet! Oh, that one got me right in the feels!

That scene where Shallan kept finding bizarre misshapen creatures in her sketches was so creepy, it was worthy of Stephen King himself! That scary sequence gave me quite a jolt! :o

"At that moment, the surgeon knew he could kill, if he needed to. Some people, like a festering finger or a leg shattered beyond repair, just needed to be removed."
That...was... INTENSE!!! :o

"You killed four men! You did this just to prove that you could!"
Yeah, I suspected that character would eventually come over to the dark side...Darth Vader would be proud!

JASNAH - "If you took half the energy you devote to being witty and channeled it into your work, you could be one of the greatest scholars of our age. You have quite the mouth on you at times."
SHALLAN - "At times? You mean it's not there at others?"
Oh, Shallan, I'm so glad you're back!

"ROCK - "No, no, not with weapons. At the Peaks, duel is involving much beer and singing."
TEFT - "How is that a duel?"
ROCK - "He who can still sing after the most drinks is winner. Plus, soon, everyone is so drunk that they probably forgot what argument was even about!"

First Kaladin was my favorite character...then it was Shallan the scholar-turned-thief...then Sylphrena the wind sprite stole my heart...now Dalinar with his bizarre visions is rapidly becoming yet another favorite. What can I say, when it comes to the characters in this book...

So far, my favorite character is a foot-tall wind-sprite who feels a true sense of accomplishment when she is able to recognize sarcasm. Before reading this book, it never even occurred to me that I would one day be saying that! Well played, Mr. Sanderson! Well played, indeed...

At first, I was disappointed to see that Part 2 of the book apparently doesn't feature Shallan, the delightfully feisty redhead. :( However, considering that in her place, we're getting a warrior who is haunted by enigmatic visions and disembodied voices, I really can't complain!

KABSAL - "I myself find that respect is like manure. Use it where needed, and growth will flourish. Spread it on too thick, and things just start to smell."
I...I think I may have a new favorite quote! I love Sanderson's ability to write primo snark! :D

JASNAH - "How are your writing skills?"
SHALLAN - "I have kept a journal since I was a child in order to practice my writing skills."
JASNAH - "Congratulations. Should I need someone to write a treatise on their stuffed pony, I shall send for you!"

You're know you're reading a good book when you've read over 500 pages and wish it would go on for at least 500 more! I don't want this book to end :(

NICE! That was a Watchmen-worthy bad-ass line right there!

Elbryan was about to slip away. But then the goblins talked of flattening the towns and killing all the people. The brutish talk brought him back to that awful day.
All thoughts of a stealthy retreat flew from the fierce ranger's mind...
Uh-oh, goblins, now you've done it...

BROTHER JUSTICE - What do you know of justice? For protecting your friend, now your life is forfeit, as is your friend's, as is the woman's!
ELBRYAN - More of your "justice"???
Love how Elbryan stands up for true justice...Batman would be proud!

In a serious contender for "coolest-fantasy-heroine-moment" ever, Jilly just dropped an enemy dwarf into a catapult and sent him flying! Your move, Eowyn!

Why the fudge does Cary Elwes keep popping up on my updates page?!? Is this happening to anybody else?!?

The last few chapters have been so good, I'm seriously considering calling in sick to work the next couple of days just so I can keep reading! Of course, since people I work with are also on GoodReads, posting that just now may not have been a smart idea... :/

Wow, with his training from the elves and his incredibly-crafted bow, Elbryan may become the greatest archer ever!

Uhhh..I mean, SECOND greatest archer ever! Sorry, Mr. Arrow, sir...

Up until now, I haven't found the chapters starring Avelyn to be quite as interesting as the rest of the book...that changed with Chapter 19! HO-LY-CRAP!!! That scene would have made even Jim Moriarty lose his cool :o
