This is intense! I'm on the edge of my seat here! (Which may not end well considering how uncoordinated I am!)

Rand turned to walk away, and with a cry Egwene threw herself at him, flung her arms around his legs. They both tumbled to the stone floor. Egwene scrabbled up and plopped herself down on his back as if he were a chair.

Some people prefer the subtle approach... annnnd then there's Egwene!

"Soon the Wheel of Time will be broken. And with the power of that death, the death of Time itself, your Master will remake the world in his own image. And those who serve me, you shall live and rule forever!"

I'll say this for Ba'alzamon, he certainly knows how to make an entrance!

FATHER (flashback) - "Our ruler--one day, YOU, Leia-- must keep the culture focused on love and life. You must keep Alderaan alive!"

LEIA (now) - I'm sorry, father, for failing you..."

Will anyone think less of me if I admit that scene made me feel like shedding a tear...or 9,000?!

Finishing "Shadows of the Empire" left me wanting to read more about Princess Leia in all of her snarky, butt-kicking glory! Leia... I love you!

Part Two of the epic "Wheel of Time" buddy-read with the most awesome person in the universe begins now! :D

Luke turned. More stormtroopers, and they weren't blind, although they shot as if they were.

Ah, yes, the stormtroopers inability to hit anything is the stuff of legends!

He still had much to learn. Luke smiled. What was it Master Yoda had said? "Recognizing your ignorance is the first step to wisdom."

Nice to see Luke has gotten a little bit wiser since the first movie...

He engaged the hyperdrive...nothing happened. Lando swore at the ship, a string of colorful phrases, including several graphic - if highly unlikely- descriptions of things he wished the ship would do to itself.

Wow, never thought I'd see Lando lose his cool! Who next? Bill Nye?

It's official, my heart surgery has been scheduled for February 22nd. The surgeon seems very knowledgeable and assures me that this type of valve repair is very low risk. It's nice to know I'll be in good hands, as verses this guy...

Luke Skywalker vs. the bounty hunters = lots of really cool lightsaber action! :D

Leia sat in a bad cantina in a bad part of Mos Eisley. You really had to work at it to earn both those distinctions. Calling this place a dive would have elevated it four notches.

Branwen and I are interrupting our buddy-read of the entire Wheel of Time series to buddy-read this Star Wars book, because...STAR WARS! Let's hope the Force is strong with this one! :D

Due to an unexpected massive traffic jam in Boston and a lack of parking, I didn't arrive in time for my consult with the heart surgeon today, so the hospital is saying they'll have to call me to reschedule it for another date...cursed Boston traffic!!! :(

Those butterflies are getting outright hostile. You might say they're... anti-social butterflies!

HA HA HA...ha ha...ha...I'm the only one laughing, aren't I...My deepest apologies for the above joke...

Imagine my joy upon receiving a package from Inge and reading all these wonderful messages from so many of you wishing me well with my upcoming heart surgery!
