Rand leveled his sword woven of fire. A bar of solid fire shot from his blade to strike the Shadowspawn.

I love how Moiraine can make even threats sound so flowery!

"Forward the White Lion!" Elayne shouted, the battle cry of Andor, as she charged at the attacker.

Elayne is trying to disguise herself as a native of Tarabon and then on a crowded street she screams the battle cry of her home country, instead... Smooth, Elayne, smooth! xD

PERRIN - "Swing a hammer in haste, and you usually hit your own thumb."

That's true! Even Thor has his clumsy moments!

Liandrin smiled. "Would you like to be my dog, Jaichim?"
She grabbed the man's head and shook it from side to side. "A good dog does not question his mistress. I throw the stick; you fetch. I say kill; you kill. Yes?"

Liandrin is so evil, if she were a dog, she'd be this one...

Mat gulped down the tea, a shudder followed. "Tastes like the inside of my boots!"
But he gave her a bow, formal enough until he grinned, "I thank you. And I won't ask if you added anything just to give it that... memorable taste!"

Mat had me grinning like Cage at that one!

Faile shivered. "Sometimes Aes Sedai make me... uneasy," she murmured.
"Uneasy?" Perrin said. "Most of the time they scare me half to death!"

Be afraid, Perrin! Be very afraid!

"Stop, Perrin! Things of the Shadow walk the dream now. Slayer is here in the flesh, and he can kill you!"

Finally, I get to meet Slayer! (The mysterious assassin, I mean, not the band...although meeting the band Slayer would be pretty cool, too!)

Another sound floated to Perrin, like silk sighing across silk. It sent shivers along his bones. The wind was a creature of the Shadow. A thousand babbling mad voices whispered in Perrin's head.

The wind is a real jerk sometimes!

She hefted her spear. "This is my husband now."
The spear caught his attention. With it, the Aiel could be quicker than a man with a sword. The Aiel could defeat them all. No one would stand against them. No one.

Wow! These Aiel stand tough against anything! Unlike this guy

Nynaeve glared at the carriage driver. "How did you manage to run over every last rut and hole? That took true skill. A pity none of it goes into handling horses!"

And this is her trying to be tactful! I love Nynaeve, but sometimes she's her own worst enemy...

Only one Aiel warrior is accompanying Perrin And Loial to the battle? Why do I get the feeling this lone Aiel should be wearing a red shirt...

Mat tossed the gold mark onto the man's tray. "From the biggest fool in the world! Spend it well!"
As Mat left, he thought, "The biggest fool in the world. Aren't I just!"

Aw, don't be so hard on yourself, Mat, there are bigger fools out there!

YES!!! The Dragon has arrived! That means I must be reaching the story's climax! And even better...it's also an excuse to use a Toothless gif!

In her dream, the thirteen murderous women sat cross-legged around the floating sword. One turned her head, looking straight at Egwene, and smiled.

"They know we're here," Egwene gasped. "And they are waiting for us!"

Mat was not even aware he had stood up until one of the ropes dangling from the ceiling was in his hands and he launched himself out of the loft. He plowed through the cloaked men, sending them toppling.

GO, MAT, GO! Buckle that swash!

Lanfear is bold! She talks to the Dark One like he's Mr. Evil...

Moiraine slammed the door behind her so hard that the crash echoed.

"Forgive me, but she is a fierce sounding woman."

"Only with those who displease her," Lan said blandly. "Her bite is far worse than her bark."

YIKES! It's far less intimidating when it's the other way around.

It seems kinda odd this book is titled "The Dragon Reborn", yet the Dragon Reborn has hardly even been in it. Where is the Dragon?!?

Selene turned to face Egwene. "Bold," she said. "You are bold to go running about so, alone, where so many murders have been done." Selene sounded almost pleased.

These characters need some kind of spider-sense transplant, the way they remain oblivious to any danger around them!

SELENE - "Mat, Mat, you must learn to trust me. Oh, I will use you, but my use will gain you wealth, power, and glory. I can give you what you desire. Trust me."

Mat, when someone keeps telling you to trust them...DON'T TRUST THEM!
