These are wonderful characters, of course!

I love how more and more complexity keeps getting introduced, without ever bogging the story down.

There's a lot to absorb in this story, but it's all presented well enough to keep me engaged through air travel and sleep deprivation.

I've reached part 2. I'm both relieved and frightened.

This is a fascinatingly complex setting, and I'm still getting my bearings, but I like it.

Second book in the loosely connected Giver quartet. It's set in a completely different kind of society than The Giver, but also in a far-future world. So far it also kind of has the same plot as The Giver. We'll see how that goes.

This story ended up being a lot more than it seemed at the beginning, which maybe shouldn't have surprised me, since I felt the same way about FANGIRL.

"Sam rolled her eyes, like it would take three hours and a Greek chorus to explain." So many great lines in Rowell's writing.

Continues to be a fun, enjoyable read.

I already love these characters and can't wait to see them meet up.

This isn't as good as I was hoping, but it's still fairly absorbing.

I've been wanting to read this again and to check out the sequels, and now there's a movie coming out in August. It's standing up well to the great story I remembered.

A year ago this was the latest "hurry up and read this without knowing anything about it, before you get spoiled" book. Finally getting to it, still unspoiled, we'll see how it goes.

Stayed up too late reading this last night. Haven't gotten to the crying parts yet, though have teared up once or twice.

I heard about this book and it sounded slightly similar to my next novel idea. Now that I've read a bunch of it, I'm pleased to find it's sufficiently different from my own plot, and it's a good story to boot!

This book is highly intriguing. I'm a quarter of the way in and only starting to figure out what sort of book it is.

As promised, this is a page-turning adventure about an astronaut stranded on Mars. Great premise, very exciting story.
