The first 25 pages dragged a little, but now I'm sucked in. Reading this in preparation for FOGcon, where Powers will be one of the honored guests.

Continues to be enjoyable -- it's a reasonably engrossing story that moves along at a good pace.

Glad to see one of the characters from the beginning reappear. I enjoyed the whole ensemble of characters in the first section and was disappointed that it then changed to mostly one character's story.

Moving right along. Glad I'm reading this, and glad I waited until I had the time to devote to it, but I wouldn't recommend it to too many people.

These are some great stories. Very smart and very unusual scifi.

The core ideas are interesting, but so far the bulk of the book has been repetitive, so I'm not sure it's going to turn out to have been worthwhile to read the whole thing.

I am unable to explain this novel to anyone, and when I try, it sounds like something I couldn't possibly be enjoying, but I really am.

Came to a section about rocket development in WWII Germany that exactly meshed with what I'm up to in Gravity's Rainbow (and is perhaps a spoiler for what the character's about to encounter). I love those kinds of reading synchronicities.

So far I'm getting along with this a lot better than I did with Oliver Twist.

Reading this in search of textural details about 1960s aerospace engineering that I can add to my manuscript. Even if I don't find anything specific to use, it's an interesting story.

"It was just Levi--leaning against the lamppost like the archetypical 'man leaning against the lamppost.'" Love the voice and humor of this book.

Started reading this morning, and had a very hard time pulling myself away to get anything else done.

While this isn't the sort of writing I usually seek out (dense and descriptive), I'm really liking this book, though I can only read it in small chunks.

The audio book narrated by Peter Batchelor got me through a holiday knitting project. It was an okay story, funny in parts, sometimes engrossing, sometimes boring with too many tangential scenes.

My avoidance of Dickens has finally come to an end, and you know what? This is easier reading than I expected, and funnier.

At this point I'm recommending this to everyone, and the less you learn about it in advance, the better.
