I know. It should be much higher but I'm aiming for doing most of my reading towards the end of the year when my manuscript is out doing the rounds ! Thank you for the encouragement!

Congrats on completing :) And another great blog post. One downside you didn't mention was the technical glitches GR experienced with the challenge in 2018. Such frustration!

Hi Eldon, I didn't mention the glitches because I didn't know about them. Trust me, if I had experienced them I would have mentioned it. Can you tell me more? Or direct me to a group where this was discussed?

I'm sure it was discussed in the GR Feedback group, though the thread is probably archived by now. Upshot was, you'd finish a book and it wouldn't appear on your challenge. No matter what you did you couldn't make it appear. They eventually came out (under pressure no doubt) and admitted they had a technical problem. It got fixed and everything went smooth for the rest of the year :)

So, that probably happened when I wasn't posting my "read" books (when I was finishing my edits for Book3) because I checked every time I finished and reviewed a book, and everything seemed t be working.
I did notice that in the last day there were thousands upon thousands of completed challenges posted!!!!!!
With one hour to go, GR posted that 44,667 challenges had been completed. Then when the challenge was done, the final tally of completed challenges was 696,809.
Have absolutely no idea how that happened.

Wow!! Like you I find it hard to believe so many challenges were completed in the final hours. GR padding stats perhaps?
