There are three planned books. Book one, Through Fire & Sea features two girls, Leah from Fire World and Holly from Water world (our earth).

Book two, titled Amid Wind & Stone, features two more otherselves Dorotea from Stone World ( a dystopia) and Audrey from Air World (steampunk) with a little bit of Leah.

Book three, tentatively titled In Truth & Ashes, will take us to the the True World and Belinda as well as returning to Leah and Fire World. I'm currently writing the third draft of book three.(less)

Often if I b…moreI don't get hit with writer's block often. When I do, I take it as a sign from my subconscious that the story has gone off-track somehow. Often if I back up one scene I can figure out where I went wrong.

If I'm not sure where to take the story next, I get out pen and paper and make a list of my character's options and the pros and cons of each. Usually one idea on the list will strike me as being more fun or "right". Sometimes, I combine two options.(less)

My Bookish Year (2024)

WRITING

My biggest and most exciting news of last year is, of course, that I signed with an agent, Rebecca Lawrence, of the Booker Albert Literary Agency. Still chuffed. We're shopping The Redemption of Prince Charming (a Cinderella retelling) so cross your fingers for me!
