The chauffeur repeatedly studied both men in his rear-view mirror. Jon kept seeing his pale green eyes starring from under his chauffeur’s cap.
Barely into this, and the author doesn't know his staring from his starring. Does not bode well. Or perhaps the driver simply does have so many stars in his eyes that they're starring in their own show?
