"The part about being a foreigner in France and eating disorders are interesting, but honestly the character is kind of an asshole who is a teacher but holds harmful views against children/youth.
A year ago this would have triggered me, having had teachers holding such harmful views.
At least she understands that she needs to change jobs (but only because it bores her.)"

Zeina Abirached
“Nothing distinguishes memories from ordinary moments. Only later do they make themselves known, from their scars. - Chris Marker”
Zeina Abirached, I Remember Beirut

Billy Childish
“The confusion, that one so young - me it seems, because I remember - should be so damaged, that no one looked out for me or cared. And even now, I grin and mock myself out of fear. But I hold the truth aloft, a golden torch, sacred, because no one else dares to.”
Billy Childish, My Fault

“I no longer look to my abusers with any expectation– of remorse, or apology or restitution or restoration or relationship. I’m at peace, accepting that they won’t and can’t help me out of the mess they created. But, I’m the best qualified for that job anyway and I’m happy with the job I’m doing.”
Christina Enevoldsen, The Rescued Soul: The Writing Journey for the Healing of Incest and Family Betrayal

Anthony Liccione
“It's better to look at a black and white world, rather than black and blue.”
Anthony Liccione

Nancy Jean Walker
“You're never too old or too damaged to make a difference. Nancy Walker”
Nancy Jean Walker, Wildflower: An Abducted Life: A Survivor's Story
