This is the first book in this series, and also the first book completed on my Spring Challenge.
Here is my latest review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Nutshell by Ian McEwan
Very very good.
Just finished Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo. Even though I picked the murderer quite early in the book, this held my interest right to the end. #1 in a series, so looks like I have a new series on the TBR, just what I needed! I liked the 2 main characters in this book and look forward to reading more. I also enjoyed the setting, in the land of the Amish. Flashback to Harrison Ford and "Witness".
★★★★

I've read all mine from the library, but recently decided I wanted my own copies so bought them all and will one day re-read them :)

I read the first of a thriller series, Orphan X by Gregg Hurwitz. Evan Smoak is the Nowhere Man, the one you need to find when you can’t get help anywhere.

Am about 1/3rd way through The Soldier's Curse by Meg Keneally.Have had it on my TBR for a while, My main thought while reading so far has been "this isn't what I was expecting...".
I just read the blurb again "a fast paced, witty and gripping historical crime series"
Now I know why it wasn't what I was expecting, being neither fast paced or particularly witty, and not really a crime story either. However that said, I am enjoying the book and will continue with it, expectations adjusted more towards "historical drama set in a remote penal settlement in New South Wales early years".
Stars to follow on completion
My review for
The Word Is Murder by Anthony Horowitz 4★Looking forward to book #2 in the series coming out in a few weeks.

My first book by Rachel Amphlett and I didn't like it as much as everyone else.
White Gold 3★review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I will try another of her books - perhaps the Kay Hunter series as I just don't think me and Dan are going to click.
