Hello all!
My apologies (once again) for not being online as often, but I was away at camp, away from modern civilisation! *hugs computer*
A few important things:
- NOT SO HUNGRY HUNGER GAMES!!
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8... (click the link to go to page)
It has begun! Those in Round 1 (Districts 1, 2, and 3), can start their roleplay. The other rounds will be notified when they are to start.
So:
- District 1: Me! (Puck and Leanansidhe)
- District 2: Abby (Cato and Glimmer)
- District 3: July (Percy and Annabeth)
You guys can start at anytime, following the instructions on the discussion page.
- ROLEPLAYS!
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_... (click to go to page)
I must say YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! The quality of the roleplay responses are just mind-boggling! Even if you don't want to contribute, just read some of them for fun - they are truly top-quality!
The top roleplays at the moment are:
- Shadowhunters (NYC Institute)
- Camp Half Blood
- Hogwarts
Try out some of the others including the NEW Iron Fey roleplay!!
- TALENTED BY SOPHIE DAVIS ****READ OF THE MONTH****
If you haven't yet signed up to read this amazing book as this month's challenge you can do so here:
http://www.goodreads.com/event/show/3...
If you HAVE or you have READ IT ALREADY you can join in the in-depth discussion about the book here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8...
Have fun and try scrolling slowly down the (rather lengthy) page and try out anything that catches your eye - don't feel shy!! Everyone's opinion is important and valued!
Also, I would really love to get the attendance pace up a little - I noticed that it lags on weekdays AND on the weekends! So if you're ever bored, come on over and chat or discuss -
The Coffee Shop ( http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8... ) is always open for those of you who want a casual chat, not to mention a whole range of other forums.
I'll always check the responses and posts EVERY DAY, even if it's just to reply to ones addressed to me. So even if it LOOKS as if I haven't been online (Goodreads has a vendetta against me!) I promise I do check daily.
Lots of love and happy reading!

Hi everyone!!
Today is Christmas Eve (well, for me it is, anyway!) and I just wanted to wish every single one of you, and your families and friends, a happy, joyful and safe Christmas!! :)
Every one of you has made my year a little brighter and being moderator of such a varied and talented group has been a dream come true. I hope that next year brings even more wonderful memories and great times to share!
So be good, don't stay up to peek on Santa and enjoy your Christmas whether it's full of hot chocolate and snow, or ice-cream and sunny skies.
Best wishes,
Booknut101 :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
Yep - I'm hyper on fortune cookies and ready to see in the New Year, up here in the Gold Coast where I'm holidaying at the moment :)
For those of you, like me, who are celebrating New Years Eve now, I hope your eyes stay open tonight - long enough to enjoy the fireworks and to watch 2013 roll in.
And for all you lovely bookworms around the world, I wish you a wonderful New Year's Eve and Day, wherever you are. I hope the festivities are amazing and that you all welcome in the New Year with a smile on your faces!!
You have all been amazing friends, fellow booklovers and bookworms as well as creative roleplayers, authors-in-the-making, fiery debaters and - to all the girl bookworms - often absolute fangirls! It's been the biggest pleasure, and the greatest honour, to have been your moderator this year. It has been a highlight of my year, getting to know you all and bonding over a common love of literature.
So here's to 2013! More reading, more laughs, and more beautiful memories!!
Hugs,
Booknut 101 :D

Hey bookworms!
Just wanted to drop a note to let you all know that our group reads for this month - the merry month of May - have been finalised! The votes are in and your top four choices were:
- Unravel Me
- Half-Blood
- This Is What Happy Looks Like
- The Darkest Minds
Also, I wanted to take this chance to extend a warm bookworm welcome to our newest members - including authors Nenia Campbell and Tracy E. Banghart. It's wonderful to have you as part of our bookworm community and I hope to have some great book discussions with you both in the future!
I wanted to also just say how happy I am to see so many new faces in our discussions, roleplays and games! Thank you to all you bookworms who have put so much effort into this group, keeping it up and running late into the night and up until the wee hours of the morning.
Keep munching on those books! Our group challenge (January-June) for the dystopian genre is drawing to a close, so be sure to reach your goals before then.
Hugs,
Booknut

Dear Not-So Austen bookworms,
Whether the weather outside your house is stifling hot (like mine) or you're celebrating a chilly end to the year, on behalf of the moderators of the Not-So Austen Bookclub, I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!
This year has been an amazing experience. Our numbers have grown, and with each member added to the group, the bookworm spirit rises as well. This group has become known for its caring, fun-loving and friendly members, and I cannot thank all of you enough for creating such a welcoming atmosphere all year round.
We also hope that Santa brings you all a hefty pile of books, so you can start the New Year with a good book in hand :)
For all those who won't be celebrating Christmas - including those who are participating in other celebrations of different natures around this time of year - we wish you a safe and happy holiday time as well.
May your Christmas/holidays and/ New Year be magical and full of laughter and love.
Best wishes,
~ Booknut 101 (Moderator)

I am looking forward to reading new books, discovering new authors, participating on Goodreads more and working on my novel for publication ~ bring on a new year!!
A quick notice!!
A few of you have commented in the past how you wanted a new roleplay - or you have been wanting to join a roleplay, but the roleplays in this group have already progressed too far for you to join in at this point.
New roleplays will be posted up gradually over the next few weeks. One is already up - a Bloodlines/Vampire Academy based roleplay! It'd be great to see bookworms having a go at this roleplay and see their spin on Richelle Mead's world. Please take the chance to join in the roleplay now while it is still in its early stages, before it progresses too far!
To check out the Bloodlines Academy roleplay go here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Be sure to let us know if you have any suggestions for these new roleplays here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Dear bookworms,
As some of you may know, I've been a pretty busy bee this year. I've started university & have been swamped with work. Also, I know my two beautiful co-moderators have been busy too, in their final years of highschool. Together we've been trying our best to keep this group active - which is no easy task!
I'd like to direct you all to the group suggestion box in the hopes of helping this group keep up-to-date and a place you bookworms want to spend time in.
So please, if you have any suggestions - any at all! - as to how we can improve this group, or make it more fun, please put them in the suggestion box. We promise to take each suggestion seriously and do our best to deliver ASAP.
More comps? More roleplays? More games? More discussions/debates? Let us know!
Help us to keep the bookworm spirit burning brightly all year long :)

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well :)
As many of you may have noticed, there's been some issues concerning the May and June BOTMs...namely that they haven't been consistent and there hasn't been any BOTMs posted for June. On top of that the group's activity has stalled somewhat.
This is mainly because, although this group has co-moderators, running the BOTMs has long been my job. And this last month and the next couple of weeks have been brutally busy with many university assessments and exams that are integral for me to complete. Also, my co-moderators are busy with their own studies.
I love, love, love this group and the bookworms that are a part of it - and I know my co-moderators will agree when I say that this group owes its existence to you all. Thank you for being so patient with us and for continuing to offer your kind words and support.
I'm going to have to ask you to keep up the patience a little longer, until the end of June. By then I'll be free to re-vamp and kickstart the group again.
There will be lots of fun and necessary changes coming in the upcoming months, and I hope these will make the group a place you'll all want to be and a place you can have fun being in.
A few of the changes you can expect:
- More giveaways
- More group discussions
- More competitions
- Exclusive content and opportunities
- Possible opening/s to join our moderating panel as a co-moderator!
Until then thank you all for your support and I'll talk to you guys soon <3
Hugs,

The Darkest Minds (other topics)
The club - now with a total of 170 members, yay! - is off on a brilliant journey! My apologies for being on a slight absence; I do check what is going on DAILY but due to exams and other fun stuff, I have been forced to limit the amount of time I'm online which is something I hope to remedy in the following weeks!
So a few things:
- SHATTER ME Discussion: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8...
We are wrapping up our book of the month SHATTER ME, so if you did sign up to read it as this month's challenge PLEASE join in the discussion and keep it going! The following challenge, Talented by Sophie Davis, will be starting soon :D and you can sign up for it here: http://www.goodreads.com/event/show/3...
- The LOST PRINCE by Julie Kagawa and other DELETED SCENES AND EXCERPTS from popular titles: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...
You don't want to miss out on this squeal-worthy tidbits!
- Letters to Characters: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8...
Ever wanted to ask an important question to your favourite character? Ever wished for the chance to talk to them about something in their book/series? This is the chance!!! So far, we've had some wonderful responses from stars like Dolores Umbridge and Sam Gamgee! :D
-**** ROLEPLAYS *****
NOTE: Those who have joined roleplays, I know it is difficult, but try and keep up your attendance! They went off to a great start but have started to lag slightly over the last few weeks! Feel free to join any of them at any time and become apart of any of the worlds - choosing from Hogwarts, Middle Earth, Austenland, Camp Half Blood, The New York Shadowhunter Institute and the Wyldwood:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...
- INVITE A FRIEND or two!
Feel free to invite one, two or ALL your friends to the bookclub if you enjoy it! Boys or girls, it doesn't matter as long as you are convinced of their love for books!
Which reminds me...boys. Men. All male occupants of the club - feel free to comment!! I know we fangirling females are...intimidating...but you are most welcome to join in discussion and participate. In fact, you'd be more than welcome - it would bring some diversity to our discussions!
So if you're reading this you are part of the 45.6% of message receivers who ever read any of the messages sent to them to the end! Thanks!!:D
Best wishes and happy reading!

PS. Feel free to contact me via Goodreads messaging if you have any ideas for the club or wish to contribute. That way I can make sure everything runs smoothly. :D
