They are very quick reads. Surprisingly well developed too.
I love it when the FREE books are good! Bonus :) I can't wait to read them.I finished
and I really just couldn't connect with Rachel. There was a 'Stiffy' and a 'Trouser Snake' yeah, i'm not kidding. I do plan on reading the next book but i'm going to read

Hahah...Leea. I read that book so fast, I didn't notice those weird terms. LOLGood luck with Troubleshooters #1. It was a DNF for me. I don't have many of DNF just b/c after I invest my time, I feel bad about not finishing something. But for some reason with #1, I just couldn't take it anymore. LOL

and I liked it a lot more than Broken. This author seems to write about issues that are just not what I'm use to reading in romance. I guess that just separates her from other authors for me. So, b/c of that, I will be reading more of her books in the future.
Yeah, I couldn't get over those terms. They just made me laugh.lol! That and the Bedroom eyes, please! I don't mean to bash the book just those terms and I do plan on reading the next book.Kay, i'm so happy to hear Dirty was better then Broken because I DNF Broken. and I liked it more than Sugar Creek but I feel like i'm trying to find the instant love I found in the Colorado Mountain Series by Kristen Ashley... Time for a break away from Chick lit, haha!

Yay! Glad you liked it! My daughter went on Friday with a friend and loved it! She sat behind a freak of a person who kept yelling at her (even though my daughter was actually not talking). This woman even yelled at her to stop kicking her chair and my daughter was sitting on her legs at the time! Sorry for OT.

What a dick! That sucks, it probably made her trip not so fun. I loved the movie too.As far as Unsung Hero, I think you kept warning me that 1 wasn't so great that I was anticipating something way worse. I'm actually not minding it. I'm almost a quarter into the story and it's not bad. I like it waaaay more than An Unforgettable Lady, which also dealt with a similar story (meaning, ex-seal and rich lady). That one was sooo disappointing. I think, unless it takes a dramatic turn for the worse, it'll end up a solid 3 star book. Good enough that I'll definitely keep reading. I have a few things that bug me. Like, I'd really like to get to know some of the other Troubleshooters, so I'm ready for other books. Or, I'm frustrated that Tom hasn't figured out that (view spoiler). I mean, I guess I could be wrong, but it makes sense. I feel like if I can see it, he should be able to too. But mostly it's good to read, I like the characters and how realistic they feel. But the part I really like is (view spoiler)... anyway, those are my thoughts so far. Leea, only read when you are at 20%, hahahaha.

I went with my best friend and we talked the whole time, we were those annoying people. Mainly because she's pregnant and i've lost my mind so we forgotten so much. I thought they did a great job!
It's only 2! hahahahaha. And they aren't anything that I don't think you'll feel too, in case you want to just read them.I liked that too. They way they banter. I have a feeling I'm going to like that about them.
Your three comments are what many people wanted in this book! I remember that discussion of An Unforgettable Lady and I have to say that was what kept me from reading it. :)She still had fun, but she did come home and cry about it. It was her first time experiencing truly mean behavior ever in her life -- I guess she is one of those blessed kids who haven't even experienced bullying yet. It was hard for me. My husband was so pissed!

This is the type of movie that if you want silence -- then it shouldn't be seen on opening night. I hate to be harsh about that though .... damn I bet this was a fun movie to see with a girlfriend!
Part of the reason we go to midnight showings, or opening weekends is to sit in a packed theater with other die hard fans and be silly and loud. It's the only time that I like going to a movie and enjoy when someone shouts something out! That person should have gone to a day show, or waited a few weeks until the heat died down. She was the rude bully!I'm not surprised that those are the biggest issues. I feel like i"m not getting a sense of the team, but overall it's not as bad as people were saying. THe characters alone make it better. I like Charles and Joe too.
I'm just kidding about the spoilers ;)I would be mad too if that happened to my boys. I know as parents we have to turn those experiences into something that they can learn from but it's still hard to see your child upset. Especially since you can't do anything about it. But comfort her. Our theater is in such a small town and usually on Sunday everyone is at church so it's empty but it was packed.
It was a great movie to see with a friend. We kept laughing because we love Gale and we were swooning over any scene with him in them.
Tom and Kelly just ran into each other after 16 years. I love that Tom has flaws, like his receding hairline. Makes him more human, IMO.
I like that too! I mean, at first I kind of wrinkled my nose because it was so surprising. You don't normally see that in a romance. But I ended up really liking it, especially his jokes about it. It kind of reminds me of St. Clair's shortness.
I read the spoilers... I agree about the celebrations - hello! I'm wondering about David and Mallory... He seems to be stalking her and although he's sweet and all it;s a little creepy. Not sure what his deal is?
See, interesting, because I didn't really see it as creepy. I saw it as sweet. When he left her the soda, it was just so thoughtful. My worry is that he'll eventually make her start caring about him, and then something will happen to him... I think she's going into the Navy, but what's going to push her to finally do it.
Well he's sweet now... now that we know he's not stalking her for her hot rocking body. lol!I agree with you Wendy, something is going to happen to force her to join the military. I like that it's this larger group of men (sounds like the SEALS are all men, but there's a women that wants to join them.) I'm interested to learn more about them.
So I ended up starting
for the PNR-UF shelf (bingo game.) I wasn't sure if I was going to continue that series because it's so much like the BDB but the BDB books have become as long as encyclopedias and I really don't feel like reading them. Also I don't like that the series has lost so much focus on the couples - I think Nalini Singh has done a better job of balancing the romance with the overall story arc of the series.I'm also starting
on audio. I was supposed to be working on the audiobooks already on my iPod (some have been there since July of last year!) but that one came up and just seemed like exactly the audiobook I was needed. Sigh...but I promise that after this one, I'll work on one of those old audios!

DG that is hilarious. I feel odd b/c I am really enjoying the audio of
-- I seem to remember DG and Stacia were not hot on the series.It is nothing mindblowing like Downside Ghosts, Fever, Kate Daniels or Mercy but it is fun. I love Lorelei King. It is funny bc I keep meshing Mercy/Stephanie Plum with the main character Charley b/c the narrator for all three series is the same. and the voice of Charley's dad is the same voice for Adam in Mercy and Morelli in the Plum series. Reyes is of course Ranger. :)
There were just too many wisecracks for my taste. Although I enjoyed some parts enough that I read the second book. That's when I decided not to continue.
I used to live in Albq. so I also love the location. The wisecracks are definitely the mainstory line, but I am enjoying King's delivery of them right now.
First Grave did try to be too funny. You could just tell in the beginning it felt forced IMO. If you plan on moving on with the series Regina, I'd like to read the next 2 books. I believe they're out already. I know I have #2.

I have 2 and 3 of the Charley Davidson series, I will pick it back up too, whenever you guys do.I liked it, I laughed, but I also thought that after the first few chapters the snark just got to be overkill. It's the difference to me in Kate Daniels, with Kate's smart mouth... and well, Charley, lmao. I started expecting it and felt myself rolling my eyes instead if snickering.
You nailed it Wendy. Kate Daniels has a smart mouth but her books are set in a really complex and richly developed world. Charley has a smart mouth and the series seems fun, but it isn't richly developed at all. The concept is pretty simple ... or it seems so far. But I gotta say, I am still enjoying it! I can't wait until I finally actually meet Reyes!
I enjoyed it when I was reading it too. I definitely liked it enough that I want to keep reading!

Yes super full of drama, there was something new at every turn, and some of it was pretty unbelievable. What saved it for me was that I really liked the characters, they were well developed.
