Leea I finished One Reckless Summer (Destiny, #1) by Toni Blake and I really enjoyed it. It was a fun HOT read. I plan on continuing the series but I need to get the rest of the books.

I'm going to start Hunting Ground (Alpha & Omega, #2) by Patricia Briggs and then The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann sometimes tomorrow.

message 52: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LOL, my list is too long.

I might continue IAD because I did really like Hunger Like No Other. But I am just so uninspired.

My UFs and PNR that I love, I now realize are ones that have something really unique about them:

Black Dagger Brotherhood
PysCop
Downside Ghosts
Fever/MacKayla Lane
Mercy Thompson
Alpha & Omega
Dresden Files
Rivers of London/Peter Grant
Sookie (b/c I am in for the long run)
Kate Daniels
Pretty When She ... by Frater
Bel Dame Apocrypha
Corinne Solomon (I don't know why I continue, I just do)
Kinsmen (by Ilona Andrews)
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Fallen Angels (again, I don't know why I continue, I just do)
Disillusionists
Penyrn and the End of Days
The Edge
Rhiannon's Law
Steel
Sentinenel Wars (giving it one more book)
Fever World

Likely wont continue but could if the planets align:
Kitty Norville
Women of the Otherworld
Dark Swan
Weather Warden
Cassandra Palmer
Jaz Parks
Iron Seas
Bloodlines
Parasol Protectorate

UF and PNR that I dropped:
Anita Blake (but damn it was fabulous until it went bad)
Chicagoland Vamps
Iron Druid
Nightside
Graveyard Queen
Firelight/Darkest London
Night Huntress
The Hallows
Elemental Assasin
Riley Jenson
Mortal Instruments
Banished
House of Night
Dark Hunter
Lucy Valentine
Midnight Breed
Magnus Pack
Lords of Deliverance
Elder Races
In Death
Skin
The Wolves of Mercy Falls
Red Rock Pass

Monere Children of the Moon

I am about to try so I hope they are okay:
Charley DAvidson
Negotiator Series (by C.E.Murphy)

I am not sure whether to laugh, never read one of her books or definitely read one of her books!

message 55: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) @DG - i think I have a print copy of unsung hero somewhere if you would like me to send it to you - just let me know

message 56: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Dee - -what did you think of the beginning of the series v. the later books?

message 57: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) i think the early books were a bit weak and you could tell she was transitioning from writing harlequin type books (her first SeAL series was through them) to longer ones, in the middle she hit her stride and then the last few kind of fizzled out - I still have the last one to read, but I haven't yet...I keep procrastinating

Thanks for the offer Dee! But I'm actually #1 at the library so I shouldn't have long to wait. :)

How did you like it, Laura? Full of drama, huh?

i totally think u should read one Regina. Dirty was absolutely great. it had a great plot, sad and heavy, but it made the characters more life like and easy to relate to. i also think Megan Hart writes well too. her stories are usually complete. although there are a couple that aren't so great but not absolute terrible reads. Tempted was one of those for me. but definitely if u wanna read a novel by her i suggest Dirty.

message 64: by Leea (new)

Leea I've had Dirty on my Nook... not sure why I havent read it. Might be because Harts book are not light at all and i'm not emotionally ready to read that kind of book right now. I'm into a light fluffy/UF type mood as of late.

message 65: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Ok, I just finished Broken by Megan Hart . I thought it was ok. It's just very sad and not bright. I don't know what other words to use to describe it. I will be reading another book from the author though. I'm thinking of reading Dirty by Megan Hart next.

Domino, what other M. Hart books did you like besides Dirty or Broken?

message 66: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Sabriel has really picked up. It's amazing what the appearance of a circumcised penis does for the plot, LOL!

Actually there hasn't been any sex, but before, it was pretty much Sabriel on her own so it was a bit blah. Now she has CP and a talking cat so things are more lively.

message 67: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) What, what?!!!

message 68: by D.G. (new)

D.G. LMAO!!!

message 69: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) i'm reading The Zero Knot which is my bingo book for the m/m group - theme for this category is coming out...its a cute YA, but def. a bit angsty

message 70: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Wow, Dee! You are doing two Bingo games plus S&L? You rock!

message 71: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) just bingo in the m/m group...but we get 2 categories a week (monday and friday) for the super-speedy...they divided us up into levels...and then S&L, but I'm using this book as my free read for S&L

message 72: by D.G. (new)

D.G. That's not a bad idea, to do it in two levels.

message 73: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I agree. I like that. Do they let you choose teams? Or assign? I wish we could pick on SOS.

message 74: by Regina (last edited Mar 20, 2012 06:38PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) Steph really came up with a great idea with this game. I love it. The downside is I am all done with my shelves until the next announcement on Saturday.

i've read Tempted and Naked. in Tempted i just didn't like the ending and some of the characters' reactions were a bit unrealistic. or maybe it just wasn't the response i'd have. hehe. Naked was better.
the thing i love about her novels is, they are written well. all the characters are developed and the plots are original. i don't leave reading her novels going "man, this seems like something i've read before." and i know some readers don't like erotica cause it's mainly just sex scenes, but Hart makes some pretty good stories with the whole picture. and for me the sadness or heaviness in the novels makes the story more believable. it gets me more involved.

just FYI, Dirty, Tempted and Naked are connected. they aren't listed that way and can be read out of order. Tempted and Naked are more connected. Reading Tempted before Naked would be a good idea. u'd have a better understanding once u read Naked.
there is also a sequel to Dirty called
Reason Enough. i've not read it but i bought it cause i hear it's a nice wrap up from Dirty. more of HEA =)

That is hilarious!

message 79: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) they assign...and as much as I have tried to bribe the mod on teams/categories it hasn't worked yet...lol!

Regina wrote: "I agree. I like that. Do they let you choose teams? Or assign? I wish we could pick on SOS."

message 80: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Bribing them! LOL. I may ask Steph if she would consider allowing certain teams to register as teams -- or maybe require a few spots on a team be left open to random assigns. I can see it working .....

message 81: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) i like the idea of chosing a person you want to be paired with and then making the teams up from those pairs (if you have enough)

message 82: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) or maybe the winning team can opt to stay the same

message 83: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) So because I can never have too many books going at once I added another book to what I am reading. I am reading Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley Outside the Bones by Lyn Di Iorio and listening to Paradise Valley (Virgin River, #7) by Robyn Carr

That is a good idea too.

message 85: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I like both ideas. :)

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm reading Clive Barker's Coldheart Canyon.

message 87: by Leea (new)

Leea I've been too busy to read... Now i'm not sure what I want to read. I started Hunting Ground and it didn't grab me right away, which is odd because i've been loving these books. I have read so many right after the other.

I did read Fathers and Sons and that was fun! I miss the Kate Daniels Series, can't wait for the next book.

I want to read this today Sugar Creek (Destiny, #2) by Toni Blake before we start The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann tomorrow sometime.

message 88: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I've got about 25% left in A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin , so I'm really trying hard to finish tomorrow so we can start Unsung Hero.

message 89: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Ladies, do not feel bad if you have to stop or skim Unsung Hero. For me, 1 and 2 are sort of like the first 3 in the Highlander series by Moning. Okay -- enough I will shut up!

message 90: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) You're so nervous, hahaha. I've been there.

I trust your opinion Regina, I'm not going to give up even if the first one isn't so great.

message 91: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Thanks Wendy. I am nervous! But truthfully, if you also get to #3 and don't like it, I am okay with that.

message 92: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I think I'll like it. I'm excited to start.

message 93: by Leea (new)

Leea No rush Wendy! Just shoot me a message or something when you're ready. I know how busy the weekends are for both of us...

I'm so excited to start because i've wanted to read them for a long time but it's hard to start a long series. Don't worry Regina, I will keep my mind open :)

message 94: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) okie dokie!

message 95: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments I just finished The Beast in Him (Pride, #2) by Shelly Laurenston . Much better than the first in the series.

message 96: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) SL seems to be one of those authors I just don't get...everyone seems to love her, but the first book I read was only ehhh...

message 97: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Me too Dee.

message 98: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I started the first book, skimmed some parts of it and ended up not finishing it. Not sure that I'll ever get back to it so I probably should add it to my dnf shelf.

message 99: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments I had to push through the first one but this one was better. I am group reading which is why I am moving forwards with it ;) I share your sentiments though ladies!

message 100: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I finished Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley it was a fun quick read. Very refresing -- just under 4 stars. The only reason it was not 4 stars, is that there were some scenes I found to drag. Thankfully those were short. Loved this book.

I am also done with What I Saw and How I Lied by Judy Blundell -- it is really good. I'd love to see this movie if it was ever made. The narration is done very well.

I am almost done with this indie ebook and I am loving this series!: Wool 2 Proper Gauge by Hugh Howey - -thanks to Wendy for letting me know it was free (when I got it)
