I hate it when I don't have a book for a task. That means I have to order it and then wait till it comes. The Chocolate Cat Caper took 4 weeks before it arrived. I then read it in a couple of hours, but still those 4 weeks cost me. I think they coincided with your move. So we are more or less even on the time loss thing.
Every time I ask for a number I am dreading what is going to come. I always doubt the number I pick but then if I pick another that one could be worse.

For me the waiting is the worst, I know Lu has a life but I can't handle the suspense!

I know that there is a glitch in the system and she doesn't always get a reminder that someone has posted something in this discussion. That means that when she hasn't responded to my asking for a new number in a couple of hours I begin doubting if she is busy or if she just didn't get the reminder. And then I start wondering if I should send her a reminder, but then I don't want to be mean and she could be busy....

Well you can't read anyway because she is there. And this way it is more fair since I still have to wait 1.5 hours.
Might have to read all night to finish the book so I can ask for a new task in the morning.

That means I am off to read The Omen Machine.
Lu don't give Lauren her task before I have finished this book which with a bit of luck might be tomorrow! :D

@ Varla Fiona: I would love to see a picture of your pet snake. Just put a spoiler tag on it or something.
I am done with my poll task. I forgot the number. Will update the book tomorrow and add it to my read list. Nice book but a bit of a disappointment. Like Terry Goodkind didn't write the whole book himself but had some help here and there. Also the ending was very fast. Ah well.

I would also like to see your pet snake. (haha not a phrase you could say to a man with a straight face!) I have been chasing my cat around for half an hour trying to take his photo, he thinks it is a huge game! At least snakes lay still!

However, at work, I count all the animals as my pets and I have almost 100 animals, mostly reptiles. One of my favorites is Stars, a 12kg Burmese Python and the newest cool dude is Poseidon, a little yellow Anaconda!!
I will put some of the pics on my profile so only people who want to look can see them...

And please no cat hunting this time. Usually he snuggles with me when I read but it was like he knew he was in demand and just made a run for it! I felt like a paparazzi! I had to sneak up and take that pic through a window!

I hate WWII fiction and I must say I am thinking of using my opt out but maybe someone knows of a great book I can read adn I can save my opt out.
I loved this one! If you choose it, don't read any of the reviews, because some of them blurt out the whole plot and spoils the story.
