Finally finished No.66 - Read a book about cooking/chefs or main character is a chef or works in a restaurant then make a dish mentioned in the book and post a picture of it.
I can't figure out how to post a picture but I have emailed them to Lu and she said she would help.
p.s sorry my eclairs looks so unprofessional I lost my piping bag when I moved.
Can I have No. 68 next pls

Im quite impressed Lauren with your eclairs. They look very professional and who needs a piping bag. :-)

They look like perfect homemade moorkoppen to me. Moorkoppen are a Dutch pastry similar to eclairs but they are supposed to be more round than elongated.

Done with 356, a dream vacation spot, lucky for me I have so many, just waited until I stumbled across one!Anyway, I read Dreamless, played of in Nantucket Island.
Next up #712 (if your numbers don't go that far yet let me know, I don't mind choosing something else)

Yes in French they are called profiteroles they are also round but because I had no piping bag I was aiming for somewhere inbetween. They look a little weird but they taste good :)

OMG I just realized!
Guys I am going Friday morning 4 am and I will be back on the 19th only. I will be in the bush in the middle of nowhere, there is no way I can update while I'm gone.
What are we going to do? Do you guys mind waiting till I'm back?

I have ordered a book for my task that hasn't been dispatched yet. So by the time it is sent, delivered and read by me, you will be back. So I will be fine.
Find some great fossil for me!
Find some great fossil for me!
That's a good task, yeah :-)I have so much catching up to do that I will be fine for that time.
Maybe the people that believe they will need another number in that time frame can pick 2 numbers?
Or if it is a problem for some people I am willing to help out while you are away, I don't mind about the price at all, so I will also just not be in the running. Let me know :-)
Thanks guys, a lot of people have offered to help :) What I think we will do. Some of you will be ok till I get back and some of you like Lauren F needs it to plan her reading. So please choose numbers ahead of time, as much as you think you will need and I will give it to you today.
Sorry I didn't think of this earlier!
I will go to bed around 8pm as I need to get up at 4am, so I'll hand out numbers till then :)

I won't look what it is untill I have read the other one. I promise!

Sorry just to clarify before you go does that mean that there can be nothing else at all on the cover?? or just no people? Or does it just have to be a cover that includes an animal?
Don't worry I found a book with a bird sitting all by it's self. It seem to be one of the many Twilight rip-offs but I will read it anyway. (Despite my long winded rant at dinner last night!)
Finished 81: Read a book set in ancient EgyptI read
Thanks for the recommendation Lu. Loved Loved Loved this book!! :-)
Just wondering why you didnt pick it for your deserted island challenge. That way I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Can I please choose number: 101
Emma, there are three more in that series, although one is set in modern times with a tomb discovered. I loved them all.
Yeah they are all really great, I read them years ago but remember loving them. Definitely a desert island read!
Varla Fiona wrote: "Emma, there are three more in that series, although one is set in modern times with a tomb discovered. I loved them all."Yes I actually got all 3 from the library. My son has hijacked my kindle as at the moment it has all his lullabies on there so during the day when hes taking a nap I cant use my kindle, so I went and got the paper ones. lol :-)
@Lauren - 96 - Read a pulitzer prize winner book
@Emma - So glad you loved it! Not sure why I didn't use it for the Island challenge.
101 - Read a book published in 2000

Be carefull if you use the list Claudia suggested. My experience with lists about specific years on Goodreads is that sometimes they contain books that were reprinted in that year but have an original release date that is much earlier.
Have you tried Wikipedia? They always have lists for every year with books that were released that year. Not always great books but it might give you ideas. For 2000 the list is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?t...

I've read The Chatelet Apprentice for one of my Choose Wisely Challenges if you do mystery/history books which is 2000. Also Deon Meyer's Orion was published in 2000. If you like Terry Pratchett his pretty certain to have published something in 2000. My other go to is Robert B Parker (of the Spenser series) who published about a book a year between 1973 - 2010 - hard boiled detective stuff. Also Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published in 2000. You can also look at the Life in Books challenge to see what people read for that year. Janet Evanovich is another good bet.
