message 808: by Lu (new)

Lu | 12672 comments Mod
Lol I couldn't understand why 538 was taken on my spreadsheet then I realized I was looking at 438!

538 - Read the favorite book of one of your direct family members (husband/wife or daughter/son if your married or parents or sibling if your not).

message 809: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Smith Phew, good thing I didn't get married or I'd have to read some tedious philosophy novel!

Will go email my sister.

message 810: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Smith My sister gave me two options, both of which will be re-reads for me. I hope that's ok?

I'll be reading either Prayers for Rain or Jane Eyre.

You could also check out authors like Christian Jacq, Lynda S. Robinson or Margaret George. The last one has also written a lot of books not set in Egypt so be carefull which you pick.

I recently read The Red Tent. The second half of the book is set in Ancient Egypt. I enjoyed it very much. It creates a story around Dinah, daughter of Jacob in Genesis.

You can also try Paul Doherty. he has a number of books set in Ancient Egypt.

Lauren Smith I want to use my abort option on the family member task (538), not because it's tough but because I don't think I'll have the time and I can only read one of two books instead of working in one of my other reads.

So can I have task #93 please?

Lu, in my search for a book for my task I checked the definition of a love triangle and saw that it was quite broad. Just to be sure we are on the same page, could you tell me what you mean by it? I don't want to read a book for this task and then be told it doesn't count. :)

message 836: by Lu (new)

Lu | 12672 comments Mod
Where a man/woman is torn between 2 partners. So like in Twilight Bella loves both Edward and Jacob. Doesn't matter if there is a leaning towards one character. As long as he/she has feelings for both and at some point was leaning towards the other one.

message 837: by Barbara (new)

Barbara | 4434 comments Mod
ok thanks! I thought that was what you meant. The definition includes all kinds of relationships. The first thing we think about is a romantic relationship, but the definition for example also includes familial relationships.
I am sure I have some books still around about Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn I could read.

message 838: by Lu (new)

Can I have task 450 please?

P.s. You still have me busy on task 115, but I finished that and then got my love triangle task which is task 512 which I now also finished. Could you adjust that? Thanks!

message 840: by Lu (new)

You had me very confused, because I had you busy with 512. You might have just missed it.

message 841: by Barbara (new)

Barbara | 4434 comments Mod
Oops. My mistake! I saw what I did wrong. The busy with was spread out over two lines and I missed the second line. Just wanted to keep you on your toes. :)
