30.6 Delicious Dee's task:Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Option A: read one fiction book ,one non-fiction book.
I read T. Jefferson Parker's The Fallen, In this book the detective sees the emotion in people’s speech as shapes and colors, which comes in handy when interviewing liars!. You may recall that Death also saw emotional states as color in The Book Thief. So I was interested enough to investigate further, by reading The Frog Who Croaked Blue: Synesthesia and the Mixing of the Senses by Ward Jamie

I read A Short History of Nearly Everything (call number 500) and The Hot Zone: A Terrifying True Story (call number 614.57)

I read I am Forbidden by Anouk Markovits. I got this as a giveaway. It is about a Satmar family. Satmar is a sect of ultra Orthodox Judaism, perhaps the most insular. It traces the family through three generations, including one daughter who leaves the sect as a teenager to escape a future of an arranged marriage and in light of some disillusioning details of her religious leader.
The non-fiction book I read that tells the "real life" facts behind this world was the one I read first, Unorthodox

I am not a huge fan of romance novels, so I chose the following options:
Option 5-Tigger: Read any book (except romance) that has been on your to-read shelf prior to 3/1/12.
I read Never Look Away: A Thriller by Linwood Barclay. It has been on my to-read shelf since June 2010.
Option 6-Roo: Read an YA book.
I read Shine by Lauren Myracle.
