30.6 Stranger than FictionI read I am Forbidden by Anouk Markovits. I got this as a giveaway. It is about a Satmar family. Satmar is a sect of ultra Orthodox Judaism, perhaps the most insular. It traces the family through three generations, including one daughter who leaves the sect as a teenager to escape a future of an arranged marriage and in light of some disillusioning details of her religious leader.
The non-fiction book I read that tells the "real life" facts behind this world was the one I read first, Unorthodox
