definitely TID:P i just felt more emotion with the characters and that love triangle was just beautiful

I read the Mortal Instruments before The Infernal Devices and I loved both so much, but I think the Infernal Devices were my favorite because I loved every single character and all of there relationships together. I loved Wessa and Jessa. I loved the bromance between Will and Jem. I even loved how Will and Gabriel treated each other. I also loved how we got to see what Magnus was like before he met Alec and how he helped Will! I just loved those books with everything in me. I cried so much and just thinking about the epilogue of Clockwork Princess makes my eyes water.
of course TMI is good too but they weren't awesome until CoG. I loved the first 2 but the rest were longer and I like big big books :)
I think I love TID more but BECAUSE of TMI. I mean, I got to know the Herondales and Lightwoods and Magnus and Camille and all those great characters and then I got to see most or all of them in TID. And TID has Jem so that pretty much sums it up. TID it is. :)

Although i do like the characters mortal instruments, i like the infernal devices better. The TID plot was good, and i absolutely loved the characters- all of them, and this made the book so much more amazing
The mortal instruments, it had a complicated and really intriguing story line, TID did too but TMI was longer
TMI although I love Will but noTHE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS ALL THE WAY
I can't choose! >_< They both have amazing story-lines and characters. But I guess I would have to go with TID. In my opinion the series is better written, better planned out and thought trough.
The Infernal Devices ...like its William Herondale and Jem and Tessa but yeah its WILL.WILL WILL!!!!

Wow that is a really hard question. I have to go with The Infernal Devices, but only because of Will and the relationship between him and Jem. It is my favorite relationship that I have ever read about. Plus I consider Will to be the most amazing book character ever, so that also helps :D The Mortal Instruments is amazing as well though, and you cannot go wrong either way.
Tough question. I liked them both, but I am going to have to say The Mortal Instruments.

I love them both, and I especially love how they intertwine. But I like TID a bit more.
@Bailee I couldn't agree with you more! Both series are incredibly unique and amazing, and although I love them both dearly, I definitely love TID more. I also love the fact that they do intertwine with each other. I just can't wait to read The Dark Artifices because I also believe certain characters from TID and TMI will make an appearance. I just love Cassandra Clare for creating these phenomenal series!
This is like choosing between the two epic loves in my life! I love the storyline, characters, and time period of TID. But, at the same time I adore the plot twists, the sexy, sexy characters, and the overall emotional roller coaster that is TMI
TID BY FAR don't get me wrong though, I really did enjoy the mortal instruments. but I didn't like most of the characters (specifically clary and jace), and tid to me had more depth to everyone's personality. And I loved how tid was set in the 1800's!

I would choose TMI because the main (female) character for once didn't annoyed me but TID because I am so in love with will!! I just love him♥♥♥
I love the Infernal Devices. I feel like I love the characters a lot more than TMI's. Since Cassandra Clare had more experience when writing TID, I feel like her already amazing writing skills were enhansed. I also have to choose TID because of Will Herondale because he's one of my favorite male characters of all time.

ID had the best characters and it was really cute but MI was wayyy better and really interesting to read.

ahhh. hmm. i think i like TMI better because you get to know the characters for a longer period of time and ISABELLE LIGHTWOOD IS LIFE. but so is william herondale sooo rfdnbjkng
Personally, this is an impossible choice to make. Both series are absolutely amazing.
I love The Mortal Instruments, I've even read it before than I've read The Infernal Devices. It's hard to choose, but I prefer TID and futhermore, my favorite character is from there (Jem Carstairs), so TID.
