Brooklyn Impossible choice!!

message 256: by Chisom (new)

Chisom O | 53 comments TID. I love both, but the fact that TID takes place earlier in time makes it more... how do u say... beautiful. Everything they do has more meaning to it. In the last book, i cried because it was so beautiful. There was a true love triangle, wheras in TMI there was nvr actually a real one. In TMI, the characters were more developed, but in TID, the characters were more meaningful. Futhermore, The plot in TID was perfect. For TMI, the first sweep was amazing, but then it kinda went downhill from there

My thoughts exactly...

message 258: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauvillaverde07) i love em both but tmi started it all and im in love with jace

message 259: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 60 comments Ya, I agree with Paula. They're both amazing, but TMI was my first and I've always loved it more. But TID is still awesome!

message 260: by J-rose (new)

J-rose (drot) | 3 comments The Infernal Devices, I love Will, Tessa and Jem so much!!

message 261: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 43 comments TMI has a more interesting, well developed plot. I like the story better. However I am much more attached to the characters of TID.

message 262: by Jessica (last edited Nov 28, 2013 06:50PM) (new)

Jessica I like the Infernal Devices more, which is kind of strange considering when I first tried to read Clockwork Angel, I couldn't even get halfway through.

message 263: by Joya (new)

Joya | 106 comments Definitely the infernal devices, I liked the setting and characters more.

message 264: by Laura (new)

Laura | 85 comments Never mind i think I like ID better...
lol watch me change it again in a few weeks/days. Its just impossible to choose.

message 265: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (cassie_21) | 2 comments TIF, I don't like it how in TMI the villain seems to drag on. I think the original 3 books would've been enough, but I still LOVE them

message 266: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (cassie_21) | 2 comments TID*

message 267: by S Bajwa (new)

S Bajwa (devilreader) | 16 comments Will Herondale seems awesomer than Jace Herondale. So, I'll say TID.

I read Infernal Devices first and I absolutely loved it! The realtionships between the characters was awesome and I am head over heels for Will. You will love it!!

Tasheyd (TasheyD13) | 49 comments Divine wrote: "Will Herondale seems awesomer than Jace Herondale. So, I'll say TID."

TOTALLY AGREE!!! I liked Jace but he is a bit of a punk...at least with Will there was a reason (which I wont say so that I don't ruin it for those who haven't read it)

So well said! And agree 100%

Tasheyd (TasheyD13) | 49 comments SHINY wrote: "Darlin' wrote: "Does anyone else realize that the necklace that Izzy wears it the same one that Will gave Cecily?!"

YES."

As soon as they mentioned it I realized it was the one in the same...only those who have read TID before TMI would know that though...

message 273: by Sherley (new)

Sherley (bookocean) | 3 comments The Infernal Devices

message 274: by Elspeth (new)

Elspeth Furey (ladyfurion) | 14 comments I have to say I did ADORE the Mortal Instraments, I loved Simon (sweet and nerdy...*sigh*), Isabelle (I appreciate a character that can be both stylish and femine and totallly kick ass) and Clary (I'm a sucker for a fery haired heroine). However I am in love with the historical steampunk vibe of the Infernal devices. I am however sick to death of Will. He is exactly like Jace, and (mind you I have yet to finish the series I'm on the third) I really really want our heroine to pick the sweet nice perfect one for once to keep The Infernal Devices from being a historical repeat of The Mortal Instraments. Maybe I'm just sick of moody dark mysterious guys. Jem is so perfect!

On a totally irreleveent note as much as I like Clare's writing I HATE the titles! SO much repeating! "City of..." "Clockwork...". Its ridiculous. The series names are so much more creative! Soon she's going to run out of cities and putting "clockwork" in front of a new noun for each book is making me angry. I like to give her the benfit of the doubt and beleive that the titles were not her decision because yikes!

Elspeth Furey (ladyfurion) | 14 comments Jennifer wrote: "I prefer The Infernal Devices because I got tired of the Clary/Jace love issues in The Mortal Instruments. I really love Jem and Will and the setting of The Infernal Devices better too."

agreed. My mother always told me the secret to a world shattering novel is a strong setting

message 276: by Lalita (new)

Lalita Herondale (Lalita_619) | 7 comments Sorry but it has to be TID...I mean Will...oh he's perfect. I love their story and their love for books that I love too it makes them so real to me. And there's more of a sacrifice for love and a bit more pain and depth which makes it more real for me and I absolutely love the whole Victorian steampunk vibe. But have is so funny like he really makes me piss myself. The almost-insest thing creeped me out a little. -.-

message 277: by Elise (new)

Elise (jewessaloover) | 201 comments **SPOILERS***
I love TID more because of how Will loves Tessa but because of his "curse" he tries to make her not love her . Then there is the sweet-hearted Jem who is in my top 5 for boys you would want to date that are in books. Tessa doesn't know who she is until she is abducted by the "Dark Sisters" and gets rescued by Will. I also love the little love triangle for the three of them. One of my favorites would have to be Henry though.

message 278: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) It would have to be TID no hesitation

I love both the plots and everything but it's just that I hate a lot of the characters of tmi and the ones that I do like you can just tell their going to die in city of heavenly fire pr they're already dead. I made this list of people I hate and love in tmi and id. And for Tmi who I think will die

Head of the clave (forgot his name)

Love

TMI (people with X I think are going to die)
Let's start with love on this one
Love

X Sebastian
Magnus

message 279: by Hillary (new)

Hillary | 1 comments Personally I like the Infernal Devices better because although I love the characters from TMI I really love Jem, Will, and Tessa. In my opinion Clary can be really annoying so I definitely prefer Tessa. Both are very great books though so its a very hard choice.

message 280: by melissa (new)

melissa (sydneyivashkov) TID stole my poor heart!

message 281: by [deleted user] (new)

I can't be sure until I've read all of the books to both and thus far I have only read Clockwork Angel. So I suppose I would have to say The Infernal Devices for now.

message 282: by Miranda (new)

Miranda | 33 comments TMI

message 283: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow. I just reread my first comment and realised I sound like I'm from a wealthy family from the year it's based in.

Miranda | 33 comments I posted twice. Oops

message 285: by [deleted user] (new)

LOLS!~ I posted twice somewhere once. More than twice, actually. About five times. It was rather odd.

message 286: by Celina (new)

Celina (cely988) | 1 comments I love both series but I absolutely adore TID!

message 287: by [deleted user] (new)

The writing in TID is better but i like Tmi ploy better

message 288: by Anmol (new)

Anmol (basicallyrun) | 11 comments The Infernal Devices.
I love TMI to the moon and back, but I LOVE the TID characters and would kill to meet the characters, because I love ALL of them (except for Nate, he was a weirdo).

TID all the way!!! <3

message 289: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 60 comments I don't even know any more. So for a really long time I loved TMI a lot more. I liked the first two TID books but not as much as TMI. So I put off Clockwork Princess for a while and then I finally read it. And I LOVED it. It totally changed my view on the series. But my point is that it shouldn't of taken three days for me to totally love TID. So for now it's equal. I'll have to spend some time truly thinking about the depth of the books to decide :/

message 290: by [deleted user] (new)

My favorite is TID. I LOVE both of the series but I just have this thing with TID I never get tired of reading it.

message 291: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 60 comments Btw, I had meant three books, not days

message 292: by Leya (new)

Leya (leyasofpaint) | 2 comments I love The Infernal Devices much more :)

message 293: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 75 comments SO so so so difficult...
I like TMI's action, worldly problem aspect, and humor
whereas
I like TID's romance, setting, writing, and characters

message 294: by Thirrin (new)

Thirrin Lindenshield | 8 comments I liked The Infernal Devices better than The Mortal Instruments.

message 295: by Niki (new)

Niki MYB | 33 comments I liked ID better! I loved how it was in a different time and place!

message 296: by Bronte (new)

Bronte (neverevertrustaduck) | 9 comments TMI I am a bit biased towards just because it was the series that got me into reading and it was like nothing I had ever read before. It was amazing and I have it to thank for my love of books but overall I think the characters and plot in TID is better so if I got over being so biased towards TMI then it would be TID all the way ( love them both though) xx

Love Will and Jace

message 297: by Cheyanne (new)

Cheyanne Craven | 32 comments It's so hard to choose! I think The Infernal Devices is my choice because of the time period, place, and the depth of the characters.

message 298: by Dahiany (new)

Dahiany (clockworkocean) | 26 comments Cheyanne wrote: "It's so hard to choose! I think The Infernal Devices is my choice because of the time period, place, and the depth of the characters."

message 299: by Dahiany (new)
