Task 15.1
You Are Not So Smart: Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself
This (very long) book title contains words in two categories, A and C:
[Conjunction Junction] AND
[Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla] YOU
Task 15.10
The X in Sex: How the X Chromosome Controls Our Lives
What better book to choose as my valentine than one about sex? (Actually it's more about DNA than sex, but very interesting book!)
Task 25.1
Flower: White Lilacs (Young adult book)
The Book Thief
** Markus Zusak is a GR author **
Flower: Hibiscus (beautiful cover)
Don't Breathe a Word
I love this cover, her eyes are just stunning!
** Jennifer McMahon is a GR author **
Task 30.7
I rolled 2 tails.
The Book of Tomorrow
Ugh. This cover tells me absolutely nothing about the book at all. Not only that, but it's pink and sparkley and girly and just not something I would pick up on my own volition (I read this as a group read for another group). The book ended up being a cute fluff read, nothing special, but not awful -- about what I expected from the cover.
I am the Messenger
** Markus Zusak is a GR author **
I very much dislike the color scheme on this cover, very bland and boring, would not catch my attention at all. Not only that, but I found the guy and the cards to be a bit creepy. Once again, I wouldn't have picked this up except I read it for a group read. I ended up liking this book a lot more than the cover, though it will never be a "favorite" book.
