No, but some of us have been lurking following along.
Think of it as a "Choose Your Own Adventure" novel (like I how threw in a book reference?) Which random part of the thread will you follow? Can you keep them all straight?
Such as:
I love the Dresden novels! I recommend them all the time.
Warm beer is nasty. But serve me a warm glass (room temp) of Woodpecker Cider...I'm in heaven.
Most groups I know and sites have at least one location for members to goof off and be totally off topic. Its what helps the other threads stay on topic.
Sorry I haven't participated more...real life can really take over you know? I'm currently re-reading Name of the Wind, as the library finally has a copy of The Wise Man's Fear for me. :) I am also re-reading any fairy tale type stories I can so I get really geek out over 'Once Upon a Time' and 'Grimm'.

There are some books sitting here, but they are law books.
I guess that they could be considered scifi/fantasy then! SO I am okay by the Kev standard because I included a book!

Woodpecker on draft is a magical, brain-erasing substance.
I'd like to try this woodpecker

I bet...But I'm really in the backwoods so I'm lucky if I can even find a bottle of it. :(

I have a little white dog with big ears that everyone calls Yoda...hilarious
OOOps: In the interest of the Kev standard, adding in that in the pic, there was a book

D'aw, you missed me. Come over he and give me a hug. *runs in slow motion towards Colleen*"

Yes, well, they match the decor that way. (And they're not all black. Two are tuxedos.)

Better than living under the sea. There's all kinds of weird shit down there - like talking sponges."
Also better than going through dumpsters for books!

Also suck at putting pictures on here.

As do I. I also hate Barney. When I was a kid all the other kids watched that garbage. I wanted to watch real cartoons. None of that pu..."
Hey, have you watched the new Voltron, Voltron Force on Nicktoons. I watched a all the previews, and it looked terrible to me.

Loved Thundercats, too. Tried watching the new ones, but just... nah...

I don't know, I loved the 3d version that came out around 1998. I thought it was better than the original.

Anyway, either way, thought I'd shared this:

Its on Cartoon Network that came out around July.

I read an article a few weeks back that lamented our generations ability to keep our childhood present, that we have not only negated nostalgia, but we are keeping the newer generation from creating their own pop culture because they're recycling ours (as parents we spoon feed them what we loved, etc).
I'm starting to wonder if there isn't a little something to that...

I don't know. I know that seeing these bastardizations of things from my childhood certainly makes me nostalgic for the time when they didn't suck. ;)

It's an interesting premise - heroes from the past summoned to the future to fight over the holy grail, which will grant the winners wish. Also, they have..."
King Arthur as a female is just so wrong. Somethings just can't be messed with.

Ah well, I am what I am! But I do appreciate the offer :)

On a side note, remember that you're starting Ready Player One on boxing day?! It's written on my calendar...

You are correct in this statement. If you look at the various threads, folders, books of the month, etc. I believe you will see that this group does, in fact, live up to its name. It is fallacious to say it does not because a few threads go off topic every once in a while or because a thread for randomness and fun exists. Specifically this is the fallacy of composition, which "arises when one infers that something is true of the whole from the fact that it is true of some part of the whole.

O.O What is Woodpecker Cider? I love cider. I've had Woodchuck, but am completely unfamiliar with Woodpecker.

Nope, that's me. One's quasi homicidal too. (Technically they're my boyfriend's cats, but not much difference there.)
