well i mean it is not bad to flirt and she should not let her guard down on her camp. i am going to get RR MoA book signed on Monday! EEEEEE! EXCITED FAN GIRL ALERT! besisdes daria when i am agreeing with you you r against it? im confused. still staying nuetral :P

Why will the blog be gone? There still is a chance for Jayna, I've read MoA and apparently, Venus has been talking to Reyna an awful lot...

Next, so, let's say that all of the people you loved were in danger, your home was about to be destroyed, and you were all alone as leader. You wouldn't try to tempt someone by faking an interest in them so that your home and loved ones would be saved?
If you wouldn't, it's obvious how much you care about others.

Definately 100% Piper. In the son of Neptune it clearly says reyna and jason were not dating .. just had a spark .. it also doesnt tell us any stories or moments that they had . and jason defs likes piper a hell lot in the lost hero . besides if they are together it would be like the roman and the greek together .. its like different cause all the other relationships are like rman with roman and greek with greek . besides they seem to get along pretty well and i really want reyna to date Leo .
i think the main problem is not the girls here... but the boyif jason still had doubts of his feelings for reyna
he shouldn't date piper in the first place just to lead her on and then break up with her

I have some things to say.1. What on the earth is the definition of flirting?
As what's said by most people, Reyna flirted with Percy when she offered him praetorship. As far as I know, it is one way for her to convince Percy to say "yes" just so that Octavian won't be the praetor.
Sometimes, when you have a sense of responsibility, you do everything to make sure that you'd do whatever you have to do.
In Reyna's case, that is to protect New Rome from monsters, enemies and Octavian.
2. People say Reyna and Jason did not date.
They are Romans. They were taught to put duty above everything else. He was a son of Jupiter. She was a daughter of Bellona. That means that their sense of responsibility to their people is much more important than their personal feelings.
Besides, not all relationship is like Jason/Piper. Aphrodite/Venus joined in. She always looks for a good tragedy. She may have masked Reyna's feelings for Jason until Jason disappeared. Then, she returned it just so she can see another person heartbroken for a sake of a tragedy.
Let's not remove the Trojan Battle here.
She can be illogical at times.
3. Aphrodite seemed to be influencing Jason.
That's self-explanatory.
4. As an author who has read countless of books, I find Piper dull but not Mary-Sue.
She has flaws, but they were not given much emphasis on. Instead, she was portrayed to be too overprotective and selfish making some people not like her.
Annabeth is overprotective, but the way she was portrayed was different.
As for Piper, I find her obsession with Jason a bit annoying.
I understand that she was worried with her relationship with Jason, but to the point of wanting to do whatever Reyna does?
For me, it was as if she was wanting Jason to pick her over some of his friends in Camp Jupiter.
It was like "pick me and leave them or stay with them and you won't have me".
That was the impression she left on me.
Over all, her character disappointed me.
@ rhea piper's character development disappointed me as well, but I think in a way, she was better ( well more tolerable, still annoying) in MoA than in TLH. I do think her flaws were shown, but not focused on like: frank's clumsiness, annabeth's pride, percy's need to do everything by himself.

I really thought that people should have started seeing Pipers flaws.At least Piper could see them, but know one else could, and that basically encouraged her to stop seeing them as flaws or mistakes. In TLH she felt like Leo and Jason would act mean to her when she told them about how she had been about to betray them, but the encourage her its okay and nothing that they couldn't handle, and after that, she totally forgot she had been about to betray them.

That was what I was saying. She had some flaws, but the portrayal of her character was something I didn't like. What happened was her flaws (at least in my point of view) turned her into a jealous girlfriend who is too desperate for her boyfriend to stay.
That is how I see it.
It was not like Annabeth's or Frank's.
It was said that in one part of the book when Jason was apologizing to her, and she said that it's a bit too true, so maybe her mother was influencing it.
She said she doesn't want it too stop.
That was where I got frustrated with her.
She is too clingy with Jason. Not that that is bad. I have no problem with that. It was just that the way she was made into this clingy person who wanted Jason all to herself.
I don't know what you guys thought about. These are just my personal opinion.

so... even if you talked as long as the sky goes on... it won't affect them (jason, reyna, piper and of course riordan-sensei)
so don't blame the characters, story and the author please

I think you got it wrong. I'm not mad at anyone. What I wrote above was merely an analysis. I just pointed out Piper's flaws as a character.
That does not mean I hate her (even though I don't like her, either).
Besides, this is why we have the freedom of speech. We express our feelings. I am expressing my thoughts.
I was disappointed because I feel like Piper had gone to waste - especially with how wasted she was becoming because of Jason.
I love Piper, as long as was portrayed well, and as long as she does not spend her time thinking about Jason who I think has his own set of problems.
And no. I don't blame Rick Riordan.
I do not hate her because she got Jason. There is nothing wrong with that. After all, it was part of Rick Riordan's plot.
It has to be respected.
And of course, it won't affect them. After all, they are not real.
There is no one to blame. I don't blame anyone. It just so happened that I was thinking of several things that could make Piper a better character.

finished mark of Athena...Pretty good, but the plot went to fast, the could fight a monster in a few paragraphs and move on, and they never really focused on the main enemy giants that I nearly forgot about them.
Romance took a lot of the book, which could have been used for the fights or dreams.
Leo/Hazel/Frank love triangle
Was pretty good, and I started to support Lazel a little but all of them treated each other surprisingly well, not a whole lot of resentment

also Pretty good but they never had a single argument at all, when their should have been at least one. But I liked the part when Percy realized he had to let Annabeth go, partly because he knew that annabeth went through the same pain when he was missing. At least he realized it, unlike Jason.
Jasper
I feel like Piper is starting think that her and Jason are the best couple ever, not a good sign, if she feels like Jason and her should be together forever.
charmspeaking more would be okay if she didn't want to in the first place never happened or if she had at least acknowledged that she had decide to change her ways. The nymph calling her selfless, how was she selfless? She did it to survive, not to help the nymphs.
Jason too did play his role in leading, usually by just organizing the quest and not being biased towards piper being his partner. What really annoyed me was that whenever piper was in danger he dropped all work to save her, or only cared about saving her. Really Jason???
I would think it is hopeless if Nemissis hadn't appeared. Appearing to Jason or Piper would be practicably hopeless, so she appeared to Leo, because he's the one who is mistreated by and slightly doesn't agree with Jasper. If he actually studied Jasper with Nemesis warning he could see the faults in it. Echo & Narcissus, basically a very loyal person who fell in love with someone who would never love her... maybe Reyna is Echo and Jason is Narcissus

It doesn't really matter if their personalities are completely different. I know a girl and a guy who HATE each other's guts because their personalities are completely different. And trust me, there's no sign of attraction between them.
Really, you can't just say that opposites attract. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. In MoA, it's clear that they harbor no feelings for each other.
