Percabeth. I have mixed feelings on this pairing. I agree that it is cute but honestly, there are these rabit Percabeth shippers who hate on Rachel because she "was in the way." Reminds me of how people are treating Reyna.

I guess the reason I dont' ship Percabeth as much is because everyone else seems to be completely and utterly obsessed with it. I prefer their romance limited but sweet. NOT plentiful like some fanfictions portray them. It's a shame how nobody reads fanfictions without the word "Percabeth" in them anymore.

You know, I'm not really sure on who, Piper ends up as his new girlfriend in the first book, but then before that, Reyna was his girlfriend, so it will definitely be one of the big conflicts in MoA!

I just got this weird analogy/ comparison in my headSo it was like piper was a painting, something that can be pretty.They're fairly flat, but if you ran your hand across it you would find it rough, an example of her being a flat character, with a little 3-D to her. But some people, who study the painting or know its history, can find that it isn't the best painting, but more of a messup the artist made and tried to make it look more pretty, but the artist and onlookers can see it isn't a painting to like (the artist and onlookers are the author and readers who can see into her thoughts) Just and Idea that was sort of weird

I know most people hate Piper for some weird reason, (maybe jealousy) but I like her, even though that has no importance whatsoever in this discussion. At the end of The Lost Hero, when they mentioned Reyna for the first time, I thought that Jason should be with Reyna. They were dating beforehand, right? But when I saw Reyna's character, I changed my mind. First off, Reyna said that she and Jason weren't officially dating. Second, Reyna tried to FLIRT with Percy! FLIRT! Ok, that does not seem like she's desperately in love with Jason and is freaking out that he's not back. She's concerned, but she was FLIRTING so much Percy had to say that he has a girlfriend. I think that Piper wouldn't do that.

Second, Percy said Reyna was flirting with him, Perrcy. Your using Percy's word, Percy is wrong sometimes or interprets things differently since he is such a Seaweed Brain. I don't hate Piper, but if you even read this whole discussion, you would find she asked Percy to be Praetor to help save the camp, and that Octavian wouldn't ruin it. And she kept Jason's spot open for 8 months too...

Percy remembered Annabeth, but Jason only remembered Thalia. If Jeyna were as close as Percabeth, Jason would've remembered Thalia AND Reyna.

Here, guys. I got a hold of the first five chapters of MOA... and even Annabeth can tell that Reyna has made a move on Percy, so the argument that P is clueless about girls is now a moot point. I love most of RR's characters as friends or people (yup, including Octavian and other hated characters like Jason, Piper, etc.) except for most of the Romans because they're so uptight a small number of characters. But overall, RR makes awesome characters that I can appreciate.

If Jeyna doesn't happen, I will someday write a book with the same love story, and it will end the right way. I can't believe I just thought Jasper would happen and Reyna and Leo would too.
I just noticed this...why was piper so intent about not being pretty? I mean not wanting to be gorgeous is fine, but I feel she went over the top about it. I mean, all you have to do really is not where makeup, or fancy hairstyles or clothes. Instead she had to cut her hair a weird way. What would have been better if she just tried to be herself, wearing what she wanted too.

If Piper really is blaming Venus for what Jason feels, well, in my opinion thats a whole other level of immaturity that i honestly was not expecting from her. esp when in TLH she did say that she knew she'd have to compete with his past. in my opinion, since she did say that, she really shouldn't being blaming Venus.
also, blaming Venus is kind of dumb, venus is the roman aspect of aphrodite, and yes there are difference, but essentially, venus= aphrodite, so basically piper is blaming her mother for how jason feels...which actually doesn't make sense to me.

I think that INDIRECTLY, she did that for attention. In a way she wanted to prove and wanted to others to notice, that she wasn't like the other 'pretty' girls. I'm guessing because she wasn't comfortable with being labelled ( er...is that one l or two?) as a 'pretty girl', and that despite her efforts, she was seen as the pretty girl, so she did those extreme things so that ppl would see her as being different.

Nah. I'm good. I confuse most people, so I am very rarely confused about what other people say. I just don't understand why people hate Piper. On different discussions (and this one...) people are constantly saying that Piper is stuck up/whiny. I simply don't understand how they got that vibe from Piper. I thought that she was strong, considering what she was going through. (Seriously, how would you have acted if your father had been kidnapped by a giant who kept telling you that unless you led your friends to their death, he would eat you father??!!) Plus, compare her to the rest of Aphrodite's kids and tell me she's stuck up/whiny.Didn't really mean for that to turn into a tirade... Oh, well. :-)
I never saw any basis for either relationship. It seemed like Jason just immediately loved Piper just because he was told that they had had a pretend relationship that the Mist made up. And Reyna- there's never been any evidence that Reyna and Jason ever had a relationship.
However, I don't know enough about Reyna to really form an opinion of her yet and Piper is nice but she'll never be Annabeth. Personally, I think it is high time that Leo found himself a girlfriend because frankly, he is better than all the other male characters in the Heroes of Olympus series so far (Percy ties with him though). Leo also is the one who falls for every pretty girl so shouldn't a pretty girl fall for him one of these times?
