Did she say if she'll explain that eventually? Because Frank saw him.

Similarly, the whole journey through the stones the first time... What was the "anchor", as described later, for Claire the first time? That is, she describes finding a point to fix her mind on to guide her through in subsequent "trips", as when Master Raymond had her "fix her thoughts" on Jaime when he healed her. Could the ghost have been that thing?

As we all know, (view spoiler) . However, the likeness between them was SOO similar that there was almost a 'doppleganger' scenerio going on. As Claire was flying back through the Stones she had called out to Frank in her mind, if I'm not mistaken (I don't have the book with me, but I remember this), so maybe as the stones were hurling her back through time she was pulled to that date and that year because BJR was so close and he shared such a similar biology to Frank.
That would not only explain the anchor, but also the coincedence of landing in a time where BJR existed.

She and her hubby were flying back home today so she will probably check in here when she gets a chance. She had a difficult time accessing Goodreads from their laptop at the hotel.

Lisa had our waitress take a pic of us so hope it turns out! I'm hopeless when it comes to taking pictures (usually chop the heads off! lol!)

I think her point of reference for that time period she ended up in when she went through the stones the first time was her interest in the flora and fona (sp) of Scotland/England and their uses for healing. That was generally thought to be, and is still thought to be, old fashioned. However it might have been enough for a reference point as that way of healing was the hit then. Just my thoughts :D

I kind of wish they would have found a natural red head for Jamie as it is not only the hair that makes a person a red head but also the skin tone. Not sure as I have not looked closely at pictures of Sam but he might be able to pull it off with make up and what not :D we shall see.

I have been a member of the group for a while, but have not been active. I decided to browse around today, and am very excited about the Jamie Challenge. Even though I am seeing it just now, I am going to try to participate since I have already read 51 books this year and I am sure I can make most of them fit into the challenge. Could you tell me, do you have a cheat sheet for all the html codes that people use when posting their lists? I see people who use their book titles as links to the books, have pictures of the books they read, and bold the letter they used for the challenge, but I have no idea how to do any of that.
Thanks in advance and I hope to be a more active member!

I'm typing this on my phone so if you need more help I can show you a few in a bit.

Has anyone here watched Brew Dogs?? Two Scotsman specializing in creating different flavored brews. They're hilarious plus listening to their accents is fuuunnnn! I'm watching an episode where they are trying to create a highly caffeinated beer?!?!

No problem! Had them the first time this summer and fell in love! I am a Reese's addict as well lol

Ha, that's awesome!
Allison, you are not alone! I just discovered the books this spring and have already read them all, read all of the side novels/novellas and am rereading the series again! I'm completely obsessed with the characters, think about the story all of the time and have built a Pinterest page devoted to all things Outlander! It only gets worse as you continue to read. I've never been addicted to or obsessed with anything in my life, but these books have taken me over. I even wear Claire's wedding ring now and have "liked" just about every FB page devoted to Outlander. If only I could get some of my friends to read the books so that I could talk about them with actual humans instead of only online! I thought that I was a bit crazy so I'm happy to hear that I am not alone. :-)

Diane, good point! I just meant that I wish I had face-to-face people to talk to about it. :-) I can't imagine my husband ever reading the books. That would be excellent.
