Good choices! I'm in the middle of Marked right now for another challenge! I'll probably go with Bitten because I have it out from the library having recently read and enjoyed Waking the Witch. If time this month, I may try something else too. I've added everything not on my TBR to my TBR. I'll keep you updated.

Coffeentea | 128 comments Hi Tiffanny, here's my picks for you.

From Your TBR Shelf:
1. Pop: Dragon Bound - this author was new to me and this is a promising series. Since you seem to like IAD books, I would say this series is similar. It's got a variety of paranormal beings set in our world and other realms. Angels' Blood - I already love this author's other series called Psy-changeling. This is her UF series with vampires and angels. I love that Elena is a strong heroine and Raphael is uber alpha.
2. Golden Oldies: Eat, Pray, Love - I heard this book is good and it's been sitting on my TBR for a while too :)
3. Rock: A Little Harmless Sex - a great sexy story about best friends getting together.

From My Read Shelf:
4. Classical: Magic Bites or On the Edge - I love this husband and wife writing team. The Kate Daniels series is an urban fantasy that's first person POV and Kate has a sarcastic sense of humor. The romance is slow build over the first few books. If you want a PNR, then go for On the Edge.
5. Country: Promises Linger Since you are already reading the popular cowboy series by Lorelie James, I thought I'll introduce you to this a cowboy historical romance. If you want like a light PNR with shifters set in a small town in Alaska, then go for How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf. I guarantee it'll make you laugh out loud.
6. Adult Contemporary: Fade to Black or Living on the Edge I been really into romantic suspense lately. Fade to Black about catching a serial killer, so be warned that it's dark. Whereas in Living on the Edge is more about a rescue mention traipsing through the juggle of South America. That's not to say the topic of this one is not as dark, but just not as creepy maybe?! I love them both.
7. Indie: Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble I found this indy author a while back and really enjoy this series. I think her 3rd book in this series has been picked up by a publisher.

Buddy Reads:
8. Hip Hop: Lord of the Vampires - I couldn't wait to get this book, but now that I have it. I can't seem to get motivated to start it. Maybe this buddy read will push me to finally get it started. I like this author's Lords of the Underworld and Alien Huntress series.
9. Jazz: The Book Thief or Stray - maybe this will motivate both of us to read one of these?

Hi Caroline!!

Thanks for the recommendations!!! This is my first Pick it challenge and I'm glad I got great books to choose from. I'll start with Forever since its been on my TRB the longest (WOW! never noticed!). Then I'll try read the others.

I've never done a buddy read, but I'm game if you are. I already have The Darkest Hour on my kindle, so if you'll like we can do that whenever you're ready, just let me know.

Sorry I put ones you already read there!

Of course substitute the new Sarah Dessen, no problem. I'm not sure if you know this, but If I Stay by Gayle Forman has a sequel that came out this year. It is called Where She Went and it was very good.

Happy reading!

I'm going to try to read Giving Chase this month, too, but not sure when I can get it, I'm #4 in line for 3 books. I can get the Book of Awesome and it's on my hold list right now. And I got on the list for Changing the Game, but I'm like #23 for 7 copies, so...not looking too good for that one.

Let's keep in touch over the month and see what shakes out.

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments Hi Lanh-Din, thanks so much for your amazing picks. There are some really interesting ones on there and I had a difficult time choosing.
I decided to choose 1 book from each category and so here is what I picked:
MY TBR:
Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh
I've read one book by this author and am really looking forward to having a reason to read another.

YOUR READ SHELF:

Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch
This looked great and it is certainly something I am not familiar with.

BUDDY READ:
I am actually happy to do either one of these. If you get The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins back, let me know and I will put my hands on a copy. Otherwise, we can read the Gena Showalter book. I have to admit to not being a huge fan of Showalter, but I'm always willing to try another series.
Thanks again for all the picks! Looking forward to reading them.

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments Hi Jaime,
Well, it was a little challenging choosing books for you as you only had one author on your TBR. I also peeked at your wishlist to get some other ideas. If you don't find anything here that interests you, let me know and I will pick again. Have fun!
YOUR TBR SHELF:
1. POP: The Lovely BonesPeople seem to either love this book or hate it. I quite enjoyed it.
2.GOLDEN OLDIES: Scandal SheetThis was a Gemma Halliday on your list.
3. ROCK: SurrenderI chose this off my TBR shelf-I just discovered this author and really liked her. This is historical fiction, which might be a new genre for you, and it got very high marks.
FROM MY READ SHELF:
4. CLASSICAL: Cupid CatsThis is just a fun read, sort of chick-lit meets paranormal.
5. COUNTRY: Long Hard RideThis is the first in a series. Very hot and steamy. This is not my favorite of hers, but it's a good one to start with.
6. ADULT CONTEMPORARY: HeartbreakerThis is one of my favorite authors of contemporary fiction and this is one of hers I enjoyed the most. It is the beginning of a series and it is a pretty good suspense. Highly recommend.
7. INDIE: Gotcha! This is fun novel-chick lit romantic suspense. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
BUDDY READS:
8. HIP HOP: The Ideal ManI'm waiting for this to become available at the library. Again, love this author!
9. JAZZ: Killer in High HeelsI've never read Gemma Halliday and this is on my TBR list.
I'm happy to read any of these for a buddy read. Let me know what you think. HAPPY READING!

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold Scandal Sheet (Hollywood Headlines, #1) by Gemma Halliday Surrender (MacKinnon’s Rangers, #1) by Pamela Clare Cupid Cats by Katie MacAlister Long Hard Ride (Rough Riders, #1) by Lorelei James Heartbreaker (Buchanan, #1) by Julie Garwood Gotcha! Michelle, I would love to do a Buddy Read with you. I tried to pick ones that I would actually have time to read. Since I happen to like them all and plan do eventually read all of them, I'll let you choose which one we'll read together. Basically when we make the choice, we'll decide on a general time to start reading and make a new thread in which we can discuss it. Sometimes others have decided to do a BR with the same book and then we just all join up and read together. As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier.

I have a really hard time making decisions and narrowing my choices to just one per category. Some times it's great to get a large selection and sometimes it's overwhelming. I hope for you it was the former :-) Just know that you only have to read one in order to complete the challenge. After that, it's all up to you.

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 236 comments Rebecca Here are my picks for you!

From Their TBR Shelf:
1. Pop: The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook - I haven't read it but I have heard that it is a really good book and most of the ratings I've seen for it have been 4 stars or more. Or Stray by Rachel Vincent - I have read it and I loved it.
2. Golden Oldies: Legacy of Lies and Don't Tell by Elizabeth Chandler has been on your TBR the longest. If that doesn't work how about The White Queen by Philippa Gregory.
3. Rock: Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong - I haven't read it but I have started this series and love it. It mostly focuses on the women so I'm excited to learn about the boys too. Or The Chosen Sin by Anya Bast.

From Your Read Shelf:
4. Classical: Kiss Me Deadly, which is an anthology, also Strange Brew. I read both and enjoyed them. Strange Brew encouraged me to look at authors I'd never heard of before but I liked from their short story.
5. Country: This one was tough for me because I haven't read anything featuring a cowboy or a cowgirl and not much with a bucolic setting. The only things I could think of were apart of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon - so you could continue with the series. Something more classic would be Persuasion by Jane Austen or Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
6. Adult Contemporary: Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione - is a good book and because it is PNR has a sexual theme.
7. Indie: I think you should continue with KMM's Highlander series since it isn't as popular as her Fever series but I still think it's good, the second one is To Tame a Highland Warrior by KMM.

Buddy Reads:
8. Hip Hop: Forever by Maggie Stiefvater or
9. Jazz: Truthseeker by C.E. Murphy

The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent Legacy of Lies & Don't Tell (Dark Secrets, #1) by Elizabeth Chandler The White Queen (Cousins' War, #1) by Philippa Gregory Men of the Otherworld (Otherworld Stories I) by Kelley Armstrong The Chosen Sin by Anya Bast Kiss Me Deadly 13 Tales of Paranormal Love by Trisha Telep Strange Brew (Includes The Dresden Files, #10.4; Sookie Stackhouse #9.1; Cin Craven, #1.5) by P.N. Elrod Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon Persuasion by Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione To Tame a Highland Warrior (Highlander, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater Truthseeker (Worldwalker Duology #1) by C.E. If you can't find anything you'd like to read please PM me and I'll pick again!! Enjoy!

Here are my picks for you. I hope you find something inspiring.

From Your TBR
1. Pop: Moon Called by Patrica Briggs. A great series with one of my favorite UF heroines.
2. Golden Oldies: Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder. Your profile says you love fantasy. This was a great first book that had lots of interesting information about being a poison tester.
3. Rock: The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton. I haven't read this, but that is a rock hard body on the cover.

Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton

From my read shelf
4. Classical: Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer. Crusie is one of my favorite humorous authors and this story is great about a cranky chef and the hitman sent to protect her. The characters are wonderfully quirky.
5. Country: Montana Glory by R.C. Ryan. I don't read a lot of cowboy genre, but this was a cute story with an adorable kid.
6. Adult Contemporary: The Mirror of Her Dreams by Stephen R. Donaldson. This starts with a very depressed heroine who is taken through a mirror to a different world where some of them think she is their savior. Great two books series.
7. Indie: Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. This great series doesn't get all the credit it deserves. Lily is a police detective who is immune to magic and Rule is a werewolf leader being investigated for murder. The series keeps getting better.

Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie Montana Glory by R.C. Ryan The Mirror of Her Dreams (Mordant's Need, #1) by Stephen R. Donaldson Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks

Buddy Reads
8. Hip Hop: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. All my geeky friends are raving about this, so I need to read it soon.
9. Jazz: Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop. I've had the first 3 books for a while and this could be the nudge I need to finally start them.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline Daughter of the Blood (The Black Jewels, #1) by Anne Bishop

Ok, so barely a vampire character among the lot (minor vampire character in Moon Called) and lots of fantasy so I hope you find something you like. Let me know what you pick and what you end up thinking of it.

Dawn, the lack of a TBR shelf is supposed to be liberating for you not challenging. Thank you so much for the rapidity of your picks. I HATE having to wait for them.

What to read, oh what to read? I'm undecided so let's look at the picks:

1. Already Home - I'll be reading the newest Susan Mallery (Only His) within the next week. I have Already Home sitting here and I'm sure I'll read it sooner or later, but my wife already read it and said I probably woudn't enjoy it. it's still in the running, but not likely.
2. Virtual Mode - It's been a long time since I read a Piers Anthony book. Not the top of the list but maybe.
3. The Darkest Night - I've been told I should give GS another shot and this is the perfect chance to do so. This is certainly a front runner.
From My Read Shelf:
4. Blood Trinity - Looks decent. Looking to get away for PNR for a while, but this is still a possibility.
5. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf - so many people have been reading this lately i might just have to read this as my pick.
6. Destiny Kills - another PNR book one of a series. Probably not for now.
7. The Host - meh. Maybe.

Buddy Reads:
8.Home Improvement: Undead Edition - I actually picked this up from the library the other day and ended up taking it back unread. Maybe now I'll give it a shot.
9. I'm interested to see what this last will be.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments TJ - Hope you find a book to enjoy on this list. You had a heap of books I hadn't seen before - so this compilation took quite a while as I did some of my own investigations into your books :) ...Here are my picks for you...

Your TBR
1. Pop
- 5* chart-topper
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. Love this book, love this series :)

2. Golden Oldies - long-time TBR resident
Dark Lover by J R Ward. Great book and a wonderful start to this series.
Vision in White by Nora Roberts. I haven't read this book but I believe it's good and I thought I'd offset some of my 'dark' choices :)

3. Rock - hot bod
Pack Challenge by Shelley Laurenston.
Seduced by the Wolf by Terry Spear, but if you haven't read this series, you should probably start with Heart of the Wolf :)
How could I go past these covers??

Show and Tell: Pack Challenge (Magnus Pack, #1) by Shelly Laurenston Seduced by the Wolf (Heart of the Wolf, #5) by Terry Spear Heart of the Wolf (Heart of the Wolf, #1) by Terry Spear

My Reads
4. Classical
- dual authors
Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Cruise and Bob Mayer. Fun, light-hearted contemporary book.
On the Prowl by Patricia Briggs (part of an anthology) - the start of the Alpha and Omega series - loved this novella!

5. Country - cowhands or a rural setting
Animal Farm by George Orwell. I listened to this the other day and enjoyed it immensely.
The Highlander's Touch by Karen Marie Moning. Very bucolic - set in country Scotland with a bit of time travel thrown in for fun. I skipped the first two in the series as I recall loving the balance of the series much more and I don't think the first two books are essential to enjoy the rest of them (the rest should definitely be read in order) :)
Midnight Cowboy by James Leo Herlihy. I haven't read this, but it was on your TBR - a classic that I think you would enjoy.

6. Adult Contemporary - sex, violence, drugs, murder (what more could you want?)
Naked in Death by J D Robb. You've read heaps of Nora Roberts' books and you seem to like some mystery/action - you have GOT to read Nora's In Death series!
Second Sight by Amanda Quick (aka Jayne Ann Krentz). This is the start of the Arcane Society books - great escapism with some psychic twists.

7. Indie - low airplay
Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson. I suspect this isn't really low airplay, but christian books aren't high on recommendation lists for many ppl and this looks like a great story.
Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. OK - maybe I've 'cheated' again, but not many of us recommend Heyer and I saw it on you TBR. This is such a fun book with great characterisation.

Buddy Read
8. Hip Hop
- published recently
This is hard, 'cos all my 'new' books are the latest in a series that you aren't reading...
Not sure about whether you would like this book, but here goes: Going Greek by Lelani Black (July 2011)

9. Jazz - from your TBR
Across a Moonlit Sea by Marsha Canham. You have 'Swept Away' on your TBR by this author - but I have been wanting to read 'Across a Moonlit Sea' for months, so I thought I'd substitute :) It gets a lot of terrific reviews by members of RRRC.

I had a great time looking at your TBR. I've jotted down some books to add to my TBR.

From Their TBR Shelf:

2. Golden Oldies: A Dirty Job This is an author I’ve enjoyed in the past. I haven’t read this one yet though.

6. Adult Contemporary: Bunny And The Bear I just read this last week. A quick light hearted erotic read.

This is an absolute favorite of mine. I am sure you will love it. They are making a movie to come out early next year - you should really read the book first!

2. Golden Oldies: Delirium
Another favorite of mine. If you like dysotipian themes like you say - you will like this book. AND - the author does a good job in accurately laying out Portland, Maine (even though it is the future).

3. Rock: Blood Law
I know nothing about this book but may need to add it to my TBR now.

From Your Read Shelf:
4. Classical: Beautiful Creatures
This is well written YA series with two authors.

5. Country: Heaven, Texas
Not a super book but the only one I could think of in my read pile that has a cowboy.

6. Adult Contemporary: Slave to Sensation
Don't judge a book by its cover. I hate the picture on this but the series is great.

7. Indie: Uglies
Ok, this book does get a little hype but I think it deserves more.

Buddy Reads:
8. Hip Hop: Blood Wounds
New book by an author that I really enjoy. I hope it is good.

9. Jazz: Chain Reaction
I have been waiting for this book, too.

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver Blood Law (Blood Moon Trilogy, #1) by Karin Tabke Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars, #2) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld Blood Wounds by Susan Beth Pfeffer Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry, #3) by Simone Elkeles

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Hey Rebecca, I didn't forget about you, so I finally have a few recs for you. I hope you find something in here that interests you. Had a lot of fun going through your shelves and of course, I added to my own tbr because of it :)
Here goes .....

From Their TBR Shelf:
1. Pop: Mixing it up with YA books, you have this book on your tbr and I really enjoyed it, you might too Hush, Hush
2. Golden Oldies: This one seems to have been on your tbr for awhile, I really enjoyed this one as an introduction into the new genre of Steampunk Soulless
3. Rock: oh yeah, you had a few of them on your tbr, I see you have read some of the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione, I really enjoy that series myself and think you should continue with Ecstasy Unveiled

From Your Read Shelf:
4. Classical: I took this one for an anthology, which is really sometimes hard to recommend with series in different stages, but Moon Shadows doesn't really have parts of any series, it is a good paranormal mix
5. Country: I think one of the most popular cowboy series being read right now starts with Long Hard Ride
6. Adult Contemporary: oh yeah, this one has an Adult theme to it. It is also a neat mix of a historical romance and a contemporary romance. I have never read one that incorporates the different eras like this one does A Courtesan's Guide to Getting Your Man
7. Indie: So, Sarah Addison Allen isn't really and independent author, but she is one that has quickly become my favorite and I hope that everyone reads her. Her first and (IMO) still her best is Garden Spells

Buddy Reads:
8. Hip Hop: This one was a little more difficult for me to do, I am going to do a variation of it .... Just yesterday the latest of the Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter was released, I am needing a Lords fix - I really like this whole series, so I am recommending to you to read the next one in the series for you The Darkest Whisper and I would be willing to read the next in the series for me - if you wanted to.
9. Jazz: I saw this one on your tbr and had to include it, I have had this book for awhile. I have been putting it off and just as I was getting ready to do your recs, my oldest came in and asked if she could read it. I don't even remember what it is about, but would like to find out, maybe with you and my daughter at the same time Beautiful Creatures

Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger Ecstasy Unveiled (Demonica, #4) by Larissa Ione Moon Shadows by Nora Roberts Long Hard Ride (Rough Riders, #1) by Lorelei James A Courtesan's Guide to Getting Your Man by Celeste Bradley Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld, #4) by Gena Showalter Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia

Let me know if you want more, hope you can find something here that intersts you. As always, Happy Reading :)

Christine | 955 comments Lan-Dinh,
At last I've got you're recommendations!

This is my first pick it for me challenge, and I must say it was an adventure. So many of the books I wanted to recommend you’ve either already read or are currently reading. And the selections on my read list aren’t really broad enough for some of the categories. But I did the best I could and made some extra recommendations under some categories. I had a lot of fun looking through you TBR shelf and hope you can find something here that you really want to read. If you’ve already read some and want me to take another shot at it, just let me know.

From Their TBR Shelf:
Pop:
Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire
I haven’t read this one myself, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Golden Oldies:
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole.
I’ve been meaning to read this one for over a year myself.

Rock:
Sno Ho by Ethan Day. Okay, I confess, even more the the hot body on the cover, I love this title. ; D
The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks
And for the sake of equal opportunity hotness, I also picked Night Myst by Yasmine Galenorn.

Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole Sno Ho (Sno Ho, #1) by Ethan Day The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks Night Myst (Indigo Court, #1) by Yasmine Galenorn

From Your Read Shelf:
Classical: Mean Streets - Jim Butcher, Simon R. Green, Kat Richardson, and Thomas E. Sniegoski
I am not a fan of anthologies for some reason, so I don’t have any that I’ve read in their entirety. This is the only one I currently have that I’m remotely excited to read. Well, that’s a glowing endorsement, isn’t it?

Country:
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Clearly I need to expand my horizons. Not a single cowboy on my read pile, which I find inconceivable! So I’m hoping this beautiful tale set in a small southern town will suffice for this category. It’s a classic for a reason.

Adult Contemporary:

Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland - I really like this series. If you like mysteries, this is a good pick. The lead character is a homicide detective who summons demons in her spare time. And not just any demons.

Queen of Shadows by Dianne Sylvan - I just finished this book a few days ago. There is a quality to the writing that shows great potential for this series.

Something From the Nightside by Simon R. Green - This is a good series if you like characters that are just plain weird and don’t mind some bizarre violence. But it also has it’s own brand of humor.

Indie: Wicked Game by Jeri Smith-Ready.
I like this series for it’s new twist on vampires. It’s an entertaining read with a few good laughs thrown in.

Mean Streets (Dresden Files #10.3) (Nightside #9.5) (Greywalker #3.5) (Remy Chandler #1.5) by Jim Butcher To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Mark of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #1) by Diana Rowland Queen of Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Dianne Sylvan Something from the Nightside (Nightside, #1) by Simon R. Green Wicked Game (WVMP Radio, #1) by Jeri Smith-Ready

Buddy Reads:
Hip Hop: Blood Rights by Kristen Painter
I just picked this up for myself today because the cover is so striking.

Jazz:
I’ve been meaning to read both of these for ages!
Demon Angel by Meljean Brook
Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead

I’ve never done a buddy read, but I’m up to trying it if you’re interested in any of these.

Blood Rights (House of Comarré, #1) by Kristen Painter Demon Angel (The Guardians, #1) by Meljean Brook Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead

Enjoy!!

OK - I've been checking out your suggestions Michelle, but in the end, I think I have to go with Passion by Lisa Valdez. I've been wanting to read this for ages! Let me know if you want to join me :)

I will get around to 'Lover Mine' and 'Dark Desires After Dusk' sometime in the next 3 months... 'Thoughtless' looked really interesting, but I don't feel like letting the water-works loose as this invariably happens with me if I read this type of book :)

I might try to slot 'Going Greek' if I have some spare reading time (I have it sitting on my ereader :)...

Thanks again for the great picks Michelle!

Passions sounds good. Let me know when you are ready to go. I have this on my Nook, so anytime during the month will work for me. I think I'm going to start the new one by L. Edwards - "Too Hot to Touch". A new author for me, but interesting story. Love Top Chef, so we'll see 8>)

I am pretty sure that the check mark is put next to your name after you write recommendations, the person above you needs a check if you have recommendations.
~ Is that what you were asking? Hope that helps.

Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments Jessica,

It took me a bit to try and figure out some of the choices, but here goes!

Pop -Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh. You read the first one in this series and I thought the first few are wonderful reads!

Golden Oldies -Tribute by Nora Roberts. Your TBR list was started fairly recently, so you don't have really old books. But this was one of the first books you put on your list that I've read and enjoyed.

Rock -The Nymph King by Gena Showalter. I thought this was a good cover to fit the description!

Classical -Angels of Darkness by Ilona Andrews and Nalini Singh. This book comes out October 4th, but it's by two authors I really like.

Country -Logan by Linda Lael Miller. I thought this was a good start to a series.

Adult Contemporary -Getting Rid Of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie. This is one of my all time favorite books!

Indie -Hilda the wicked witch by Paul Kater. This was an inexpensive (I think free when I downloaded it) book that was interesting.

Hip Hop -1225 Christmas Tree Lane by Debbie Macomber. This could be a fun read getting ready for the holidays. Although, sometimes one can start in too soon! But I would be up for reading this with you!

Jazz -Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I actually do want to read this one since I read the first one a long time ago, but I'm not sure I'll be up for a buddy read with this one this month. It will depend on the other books that are recommended to me. But I've heard it's really worth reading.

I hope there is something in this list you would like to read!

Love the recs. Wish I have enough time to read them all. Usually I get to do only one, so I have a tough time choosing. I'm going to go with one where I already have the book. I'm going to read Bonds of Justice, and if I can get find a copy (its tough being where I am, hard to find books) of Dark Predator, I will try to squeeze it in.

Mandy (mandypants) Goodness. Such check mark drama. :-P The check marks are simply so I can track who, at the end of the deadline, has not given recommendations. Please note that I am only one person, who works and has after work responsibilities (especially on Wednesdays), so updates are not going to be in real time. I hope this helps clear things up!

Thanks for the great picks Vi! I know I am going to read Exclusively Yours, I have wanting to start these books for a while now! I hope to get a few more in too, if I can decide which ones to read! So many of these are books I have been wanting to read - Glory in Death, Bloodfever, and Mine to Possess have be taunting me - I need to get back to those series! But I also want to start new series with Corralled, Take Me, Dragon Bound and Magic Bites too. And then there is Black HIlls that I have ignored for too long already! Seriously, how am I going to choose?! I guess I will just have to see what mood I am in when I finish the Shannon Stacey book! Thanks again! =)
