I'm so glad you liked it! It doesn't get much better than The Hunger Games series, in my opinion.
I'm finished with:
Review: It wasn't as good as the first two, but I still liked it. It didn't have enough Barrons! I do love that Mac got to drive the Viper and a Ferrari. Her little invention was a bit hokey, but necessary.
Date: August 15
Stars: Three
My response was actually the opposite of you Kristen. Third book was what convinced me to complete the series. I didn't like the first book and the second was just ok. I felt the third was where it picked up steam. Of course, I ended up loving Barrons and only liking Mac.
Vi wrote: "My response was actually the opposite of you Kristen. Third book was what convinced me to complete the series. I didn't like the first book and the second was just ok. I felt the third was where it..."Isn't that funny! I'll keep reading because I do like the series so far.

Oh Alyssa, you should start this book like
Kristen wrote: "Isn't that funny! I'll keep reading because I do like the series so far. "I know. I was laughing when I read your comment. But I think you would love the 4th and the 5th especially with their cliff hanger endings.
Okay so I've finally completed my book for the dark shelf although if I'd actually picked it up before 2 days ago I have a feeling I would've finished it earlier. It intimidated me. What on earth possessed me to choose a 650 page book?? Anyway I'll probably be done with my alpha book tomorrow.

Review: Man it was long but intense. There were loads of characters, all fully fleshed out, all with their own strengths and weaknesses and all with their different motives. I mean, talk about shades of grey! And some of the twists! I just didn't see them coming, and there were a lot of them.
The beginning was a little tough to get into but I think that was due to it being necessary to leave out certain information. It really picked up at the end though :)
My favourite passage (which isn't really a spoiler but is at the same time so I've hidden it just in case), I think it sums up the book and the different plots quite nicely:

3. Review: Might want to cover your ears..... *squeals so loud that dogs start barking*
Well.... Now that that's out of my system.... I suppose ya'll would like a review.
I loved this one! Danika is totally my favorite chick right now. She's so tiny and cute, but she's also tough as heck. Like all the girls with their men, she's got Reyes wrapped around her little finger. Love it! (I super ♥ Reyes too! Yummy!)
I think right now this is my favorite book so far. *frowns and shakes head* No! I won't choose favorites! It hurts too much!
I'm starting
tomorrow once I'm off work. I can't wait! The Lords that I can't wait to read about are Strider, Torin, and Kane. I'm sad, cuz how long will it be till Torin and Kane's books come out?? :-(
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
LOL Alyssa! So glad you are kinda liking the LotU. It makes me want to reread them, but there are so many other books calling my name......

Thanks, for the info! It sounds so exotic to be away in Tokyo.
This is for the 'alpha-male' shelf :)
Title/Author: No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole

Review: Another great book in the series 'Immortals After dark'. Even though I wasn't really in the mood for a PNR, I still really enjoyed it. I liked the whole Hie contest, hunting prizes such as swords and opals around the world. As always Cole does an excellent job of balancing plot and romance. Can't wait for the next one with Bowen ;)
I too finished my book for the alpha-male shelf.Book: An Unforgettable Lady
Date Finished: 19 August

Review: Jessica Bird is alternate name of J.R. Ward. I don't seem to love BDB series as much as the others since I can't go past book #4 (I think). But this book is labelled as a romantic-suspense which I will read any time. The chemistry between the lead characters was burning off the pages. The heroine is strong, rich and sexy and her character growth was what made this book awesome for me. Though, at one point, I just wanted to shout at the male lead - enough already! Just go and do it. The male lead also tended to alpha-hole territory but he groveled just enough to make me forgive me. Hmm, maybe Grace should have let him grovel a bit more at the end...?
We're only two away from completing free-space and then another two away from completing alpha-male and we're all up-to-date!! How great is that!! :D
I'm done with my free space book!
First Grave on the Right by Darynda JonesDate finished: 19 August 2011

Review: A unique story about Charley Davidson, reaper. It's got mystery, romance and a lot of wit.
Charley tended to be a little bubble headed and scatterbrained, but she did have some lines that made me smile.
It'll be fun to see where the story goes and what happens with the elusive Reyes Farrow.
I think I'm going to read First Grave on the Right for my free space as well. That books looks really good!
Update: Here's what we need finished to get the rest of our stamps:Free Space: Suzanne

Review: My fave in the series so far. Loved Bowen and Mari, they had great chemistry. Kresley Cole has a knack for creating interesting characters. Looking forward to more demon-time with Cade and Rydstrom. Not sure that I'm looking forward to the next one though so much, a ghost and a mad vamp? Ookkaaayyy. I hope I love it but I prefer the Lykae ones over the vamps.
Ok. I apologize, Kristen, but I want to change my book for the shifters shelf. (I just went to the bookstore.)Instead of
, I'm going to read
.*taunting* Take that, Mr. Randomizer! I win! Mwahahaha! It may not be an LotU book, but it's still by Gena Showalter. I am currently ♥ 'ing her a lot.
Now, here's a treat for Kristen......
