Three stars
Review: This was one weird book. I had no idea what was going on in the first 1/3 of the book. I knew there was some satire, but I know it had something to do with British humor, especially the insurance industry. However, by the time I got 1/2 way through I realized it was a simple journey story, with a native taking a wealthy tourist on a journey.
I don't know if I'll read the rest, but these are popular for a reason.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'urban fantasy'.

Title/Author: The Dragon Who Loved Me by G.A. Aiken
Date finished: 18 October 2011
Rating: ★★★★
Review: I loved Rhona and Vigholf, they were really sweet together although I felt they sort of got pushed to the side at the end. I like catching up with the rest of the family too since they provide some great one-liners.
The only problem though is that I don't like every character, in particular Talaith and Izzy. In fact, I basically hate them which is why About A Dragon was my least favourite book, even though I quite like Briec (I find it very amusing when he goes on about his "perfect" daughter). I hope Izzy grows on me when she's the main character. I'm all for strong, feisty women but sometimes the females verge into the annoying. They're strong in the fighting, violent way (apart from Dagmar) and there are other ways to show strength. It starts to grate after a while. I mean why is everyone a warrior? Is there no other trade? No other personality except warrior bitchiness?
It's probably why I liked Rhona so much, she was less in-your-face. Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to the next book. I hope it's with Gaius :)

Review: This was ok, I think I enjoyed it more than the first. I liked some parts of the book but it did drag in places. The problem I had with it was that I've finished and the situation is still roughly the same as it was at the end of the first book. Nothing's really been resolved. Or has progressed. Oh and this p*ssed me off to the extreme -- (view spoiler) Having said all that, I am intrigued with where this is all going. I hope both Riley and Beck get a grip and sort out their lives. It'd be cool to see them work together more, trapping demons and all that (I think only one was trapped in the whole book), keeping things on the micro scale instead of all the war-and-end-of-days talk because I do find the world and the different levels of demons interesting, more than the angel stuff.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

This shelf gives TWO teams BINGO ~ Double Trouble (#2) and Serious Series Sluts (#3). But, Double Trouble first needs to get their 'dragons' stamp, whereas SSS only needs to read, rate & review their books for this shelf to win.
Good luck to both teams! Happy Reading!

Should I keep a list for this last round? We're so behind on all of our shelves.

I'm thinking that I won't keep track on this round. It is fun to read all of the shelves, though.
