I just finished Ghost Road Blues. I was really impressed by Maberry's writing. Now I'm going to start reading Fluke: Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings. It has been a little while since I've read a Moore book.
Mistress of the Art of Death, which is heading towards being a solid four-star read, and one I'm enjoying!Hopefully completing it and starting Skippy Dies in the next few days.
I just started The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbø yesterday after work and I am already half way through it! I can't stop! I finished Land of The Lost Souls by Cadillac Man yesterday and it was really good too!
I just finished Tabloid City: A Novel, which was quite good. Now I'm starting Incognito and Mini Shopaholic. :)
I am just starting The Priest's Graveyard. I typically love anything written by Ted DeKker, so I hope this isn't a let down.
So I finally finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. It seemed like it took forever to read, but I kept myself from reading it quite a few times cause I didn't want to see it end. Right now I'm starting Labors of Love to help fuel my other habits, and Dead Until Dark to carry around with me.
I am about half-way through Jane Eyre. I have been reading it slowly to savor it, since it has taken me this long to get around to reading it. Next up is One Day, then hopefully I will be next on the list at the library for the latest Sookie Stackhouse book. After that I am thinking The Shadow of the Wind.
I really enjoyedThe Shadow of the Wind. One of the few books that I just couldn't put down. The second book The Angel's Game, seemed very much the same, but he has a good rhythm.
That's great to hear! I have had it on my nightstand forever, but the lure of picking up new library books always wins out, lol.
I finally finished Tempted by P.C. Cast. I will be starting The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann. I am also still reading The Reason for God by Timothy Keller.
I did read about 30 pages of Testament: A Novel by Nino Ricci but I put it down, I think I'm going to save that for another time. Now, I'm reading The Prison Angel: Mother Antonia's Journey from Beverly Hills to a Life of Service in a Mexican Jail by Mary Jordan.
Yesterday, I finished Fluke: Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings. I love his books. This morning, I started reading Relic. This is my first read from this series. Not very far but intriguing so far.
I just finished The Commoner: A Novel and Room and loved both of them. Now I'm casting about for something to read. Hm...

i *loved* the Mistress of the Art of Death series. the characters were fabulous!
i finally was able to find the time to finish The Book Thief. excellent story and so well written.i started The Forgotten Garden and am totally loving it. i need to go to bed, so i won't allow myself to pick it up tonight, because i would never get to sleep for wanting to keep going!
I finally finished Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt. I enjoyed it (definitely didn't read like a non-fiction). Next I'm going to read People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.
I'm taking a break from mysteries to read a couple of romance novels, one by Debbie Macomber and one by Mary Jo Putney. They both write well, but I prefer Mary Jo's writing by far. Her book will probably get 4 stars from me, while Debbie's got 3.
Patricia, I absolutely love People of the Book. I read it a while ago and just recently bought a copy for myself and started reading it again. I hope you like it!
I'm reading Bossypants by Tina Fey. And I guess technically I'm in the middle of Love in the Time of Cholera but I can't make myself finish it.
I just finished Mini Shopaholic, which I really enjoyed... I always love Sophie Kinsella's books. Now I'm starting The Help, which I've heard loads of great things about.
I just finished The Priest's Graveyard, and I am just starting Dorothy And the Wizard in Oz(I know it's a kid book, but I always wanted to read the whole series, and I figured I might as well read it now).

Just started
. While only 40 pages into it, really off to a good start. Also, reading
and finding it a real gem. I have been thoroughly engaged from page 1. The writing style is spot on.

Currently I'm just getting started on The Peach Keeper
I am almost at the end of Jane Eyre and am so glad I finally read this wonderful book. It has piqued my curiosity into the life of Charlotte Bronte.
I thought Cassandra Clare was a plagiarist.I'm just starting In the Garden of Iden. Just finished Daughter of the Empire and an audio version of This Body of Death, by Elizabeth George. Both were excellent.

I'm now just starting Divergent
Sandra aka Sleo wrote: "I thought Cassandra Clare was a plagiarist."Yes, she was cited for plagiarism in her fanfiction, and someone still published her. IMO, once a plagiarist, always a plagiarist. If they did it once, how can you trust them not to do it again?
Three other noted instances of plagiarism that come to my mind include Janet Daley, who stole from several books by Nora Roberts (hello! Nora Roberts? And she thought no one would notice?), Cassie Edwards (who lifted passages from mostly out-of-print nonfiction materials and was found out thanks to Google Books and an article on, of all things, ferrets), and Gail McFarland, who lifted half a book by Gina Wilkins.
There are a lot more instances out there, but these were three I remember seeing broadly publicized online.

Gah! And people still rave about her stuff. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole!
Started Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Year of Magical Reading today and probably The Face on the Milk Carton tonight or tomorrow.
Karen wrote: "Started Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Year of Magical Reading today and probably The Face on the Milk Carton tonight or tomorrow."How are you liking Tolstoy and the Purple Chair? Looks good! I loved The Face on The Milk Carton (and series) when I read them years ago, hope you enjoy. :)
I'm getting ready to start "Knit Two" Kate Jacobs, the 2nd in the "Friday Night Knitting Club" series.

Next I'm going to read [book:P..I read this book long ago and I still want to make a visit to Savannah, sounds soooo interesting. Berandt's writing puts you right there. I liked the movie a lot also, of course, I can't go wrong with Tommy Lee Jones! : )
