Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Jane oh, thank you so much - I don't think I can decide - I may have to find a way to squeeze most of them into my monthly categories Pleasure Unbound, Darkfever and The Darkest Secret are already on the tippy top of the stack (actually started DS yesterday hehe)

I never realized I had a lot of 'Bride' books. Wonder if they were mostly the historicals. Either way, that is a Good idea :o)

You're awesome, Gigi! Thank you for taking the time to comb through my TBR. I know it's crazy long! It's good to get the opinion of someone else with the fun of a theme to help whittle it down.

I'll likely read all the ones you picked at one point or another. For April though, would love to read The Black Lyon with you.

P.S. You're right about Romantic Suspense. I haven't read a whole lot there but I did read Ruthless and enjoyed it. Amazing how you picked up on that. I will look into the rec you gave. Thanks again!

Friends : Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland - Picked for me in my first PIFM challenge.

Romance : Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - one of my favourite books and I believe it is one of the best romances of all time.

Intense : The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins I recommend this to practically everyone because it is such a great book, the other 2 are really good too and I think it is one of the best YA trilogies out there.

Emotions : The Helpby Kathryn Stockett - very few books make me cry but this did, everyone I have given the book to since hasn't cried so I don't know if it's just me lol but it is a brilliant book.

New : New, New, New - Marked by P.C. Cast - I notice that like me you are a vamp fan so thought you might like a new series to get into. I am reading the 2nd one at the moment and they are a fun easy read.

Don’t forget : Fallen by Lauren Kate really enjoyed this book, still need to get the 2nd book.

Support : The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman a book I keep meaning to read but never seem to get round to.

Bonus : The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton a classic that I just couldn't put down.

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Yz the Whyz...here are your picks! I hope you find one you like...if not let me know! Happy Reading!!!

Friends:Safe Haven...this book was recommended to me by my BFF! I have read a couple of Nicholas Sparks' books so I figured I give this one a try...I am glad I did!

Romance:Seduce Me at Sunrise, I see that you have read the the first one...the second one is also very good!

Intense:Changeless, I could not put this one down. Fair warning though...once you finish this one, you have to read the 3rd one!

Emotions:Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas I loved this book...it had me laughing at parts, smiling at others and crying!

New:Twice Loved, it was very hard trying to findsomething "new" to you! But I think it did it! This book is Christian/historical fiction, at first I thought it would be preachy...but it turned out to be quite good. I ended up reading the whole series!

Don't Forget:My Man, Michael I see that it has been on your shelf for a while and you have read the previous books in the series...maybe its time to give it a try!

Support:Something About You I actually just got this from the library the other day! If you would like to buddy read...let me know!

Bonus:Savor the Moment and Happy Ever After..I am sure you know these are about the last 2 friends in the seris of 4! All were really good to me!!

message 817: by Autumn (last edited Apr 03, 2011 09:25AM) (new)

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1471 comments Monica Like always, its a real pleasure to snoop around shelves and get to know a bit more about some else! I guess i enjoy this part the most!. From what i saw on both to TBR and read books, you seem like all genres of romance (YAY!) some fantasy, and Y/A PNR.

so here are my recs. Do let me know if you dont find anything appealing, then i will try to look again for something more fitting!.

Friends :I see that you have some Pamela Claire in your TBR. I have this series I am going to start reading
-"I-Team" series. Extreme Exposure all my friends have been raving about them!
- As i was looking at your TBR i was a bit surprised The Hunger Games is no where near your shelves since you favor this genre.. not sure if the book didnt appeal to you, but i am going to take a risk and recommend it. they are fantastic series!.

- The Raven Prince from the "princess triglogy. Is another favorite from Elizabeth Hoyt.

Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt

Romance : There are lots of historicals, some medieval and chick-lit! lets see what i got here..

-for Medieval i have my favorite Author Judith Mc Naught. She is the queen of old school romance. You like Garwood and she is another favorite of mine as historical go. A Kingdom of Dreams is such a classic book! this book is more angsty than Garwood`s, but they are excellent romance (IMO)

-Historical (regency/victorian) For the Roses, Then Came You ,The Duke And I are all great first in series!!

-Contemporary: Just the Sexiest Man Alive,Something About Youand Simply Irresistible are nice solid contmps.

-Chick-lit. Im not very involved in this genre, but there definitely some good ones standing. Can You Keep a Secret? is a really funny book!! . Bet Me,It Had to Be You Do fit the bill for good chick-lit !

A Kingdom of Dreams (Westmoreland, #1) by Judith McNaught For the Roses (Rose, #1) by Julie Garwood Then Came You (Gamblers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James The Duke And I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn Something About You by Julie James Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie It Had to Be You (Chicago Stars, #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Intense: This recs come straight from my shelf.

You liked "sugar daddy" by LK. I too, loved the premise of this book and the emotions it evoked in me. However, you didnt mark TBR the rest of the Travis series. I will strongly recommend you go ahead and give it a chance to the remaining two.-Blue-Eyed Devil Even though Hardy is the bad boy for the first installment, in this book the story is really gripping.the plot is quite complex with some strong issues, while Hardy battles his inner demons.

- I didn't see any erotica in your shelves, but i did see Megan Hart. Dirty is just a great dark story with so many underlined issues, packaged in an erotic novel. Its a great well written story! one of my favorite books.

Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas Dirty by Megan Hart

Emotions : I have a big inkling towards premises that deal with challenging people/situations. As You Desire is one of my favorite historical books. from the setting in Egypt, to the the characters/plot,and its incredible prose. Its a book worth checking out.
-you have Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage in your list. I loved The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie for the play of emotions displayed in the book.

-Veronika Decides to Die is one of those books that you can hardly forget about. Veronica`s inner struggles are so poignant that it makes you ponder about the real meaning of our life`s purpose. Its fantastic.

-Cry No More its hands down the best Suspenseful romance!!

As You Desire by Connie Brockway The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho Cry No More by Linda Howard

New: you enjoy PNR. "Guild Hunter series" are widely enjoyed series!
-Angels' Blood is the first of this series.

-Pleasure Unbound from "Demonica series" by Larissa Ione is very liked as well.

Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione

Dont forget : they have been in you shelf since since JAN..;) Bloody Valentine by Melissa de la Cruz City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare

Support : I will be reading The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros this month. PM me if you want to read it!

Bonus: Talk Me Downfrom the "tumble creek series" and Vision in White from the "bridal quartet" are really fun, sassy series with lots of camaraderie.

Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1) by Victoria Dahl Vision in White (Bride Quartet, #1) by Nora Roberts

I hope you find something you like here!!

It was a pleasure picking for you Monica! :)

Autumn,

It looks as though you were already in the re-mix before Alexis-Morgan posted.

(that being said, I have to second Alexis on the some of the recs, they are good)

Miss | 330 comments Hi, Melissa (jandmterry), sorry for being a little late with my recommendations, here they are:

Friends : Dragonfly in Amber - books in this series have been recommended to me in this challenge; if you liked Outlander, you have to read further and find out what happened to Jamie and Claire

Romance : The Secret Pearl - Mary Balogh is one of the best regency writers, I hope you can get this book or any other by her from the library

Intense : The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - i haven't read this one but i hear it's good mystery :)

Emotions : The Alchemist - this book really moved me, it's truly inspirational

New : The Mysterious Affair at Styles - Agatha Christie is the queen of mysteries, you should try her Poirot books :)

Don’t forget : Confessions of a Shopaholic - you seemed to like some of her other books and this is her most popular series

Support : A Northern Light - I would be happy to read this with you, I love Jennifer Donnelly

Bonus : Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand - this is a special treat, if you like historical romances, Carla Kelly has a special way that makes you connect to the characters, and this book is simply beautiful :)

I couldn't choose more books from your TBR as i didn't know most of them, but i hope you find something interesting here and i think most of the books should be available at the library. Let me know what you think. :)

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Alma (aka Mrs. Rhaw)
I liked looking through your shelves, amazing how much we seem to have in common. I do have some recommendations for you now (sorry about the confusion earlier).

Friends: The Darkest Night - You have so many paranormal books, I am surprised that you haven't read the Lords of the Underworld. Great series, I think you will like it.
Romance: Mine Till Midnight - I see that you have read book #4, but I don't see that you have read the first one.
Intense: The Host - This one actually got my interest and kept it all the way through and it is a large one.
Emotions: Mockingjay - You have read the other two, for me this one was even better.
New, New: Garden Spells - Sarah Addison Allen has quickly become one of my favorite authors. She writes gentle romances with a bit of the supernatural mixed in.
Don't Forget: Fallen - Been there over a year now, I have heard good things bout it.
Support: My Soul to Keep - I have recently read the pre-quell and would be interested in reading this one with you if you are interested.
Bonus:The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella - don't know if you can really call them all friends. This book follows the creation and movements of the rogue vampires that Victoria uses against the Cullens.

I hope you find something that you like, hope you are feeling better and thanks for checking in.

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Allison,

Here are your reccomendations, hope you can find something you can enjoy. I definitely did enjoy your book shelves :)

Friends Graceling by Kristin Cashore - I haven't read this myself but have been recommended many times and have in my tbr pile to read soon.

Romance Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - I just love her novels, I saw you read classics as well so might give it a try.

Intense One Day by David Nicholls - this was my favourite book last year, so realistic I lived with them while reading. Since then I have been recommending it to everyone when I have a chance.

Emotions Broken by Megan Hart - I have seen you read from her and like. I found this one brilliant and very descriptive on emotions. The feelings were as if they were palpable and I loved that.

New First Comes Marriage by Mary Balogh - I like historical romance (like those times really) and I enjoyed this series.

Don't forget Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead - haven't read this one but enjoyed her other series and this one is on your tbr for a loong time.

Support We have a lot of books in common but a few to-reads that we both didn't read yet. So, Glass Castle, Before I Fall or My Blood Approves if you are up to reading one of them let me know.

Bonus - The Kite Runner by khaled Hosseini such a good and sad story.
