Laura Fonseca (daddy_girl_ynk) | 90 comments Oh I forgt to mention I read the Succubus series . But yeah , They all sound really good thanks ! I will prolly go with Demonica and work my way through the list ! (:

message 7: by Gin (new)

Gin (gynh) | 32 comments Oh yeah...Midnight Breeds is a good series as well as Karen Moning's Highlander series! So many good ones!!!

message 8: by Lizbeth (new)

Lizbeth (lizbethreads) | 33 comments I know you asked for Paranormal Romance but...maybe some Urban Fantasy? Lots of kick butt stuff and humor ( and a bit of sexy time ) like in Night Huntress. I tend to get this from UF and I enjoyed almost all of the same books you did in your ( a lot of the ones on there are actually UF ) list.

Cassie Palmer series by Karen Chance is really good. I actually like her ( omitting Pritkin ) Dorina Basarab series more.

Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison. I loved it a lot. This book is more about friendship than love interests but they are veeery cute. The first half of the first book is a little hard to get in to.

The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning is really good, the last book just came out as well. It has a sort of love/hate relationship between the two characters as Bones and Cat started out. The man...Jericho Barrons. Well, uh, he is a freaking manbeast and he is just...amazing. Lol.

:D Happy reading.

message 9: by Lisa M (new)

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments I second Demonica, Immortals After Dark, Midnight Breed and Mageverse. I would add the following PNR series, with their first books:
Argeneau Vampires, Lynsay Sands A Quick Bite (Argeneau, #1) by Lynsay Sands
Love at Stake, Kerrelyn Sparks How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks
The Others, Christine Warren Wolf at the Door (The Others, #1) by Christine Warren
The Sentinel Wars by Shannon K Butcher Burning Alive (Sentinel Wars, #1) by Shannon K. Butcher
Nightcreature Series, Lori Handeland Blue Moon (Nightcreature, #1) by Lori Handeland
Guardians of Eternity, Alexandra Ivy
When Darkness Comes (Guardians of Eternity, #1) by Alexandra Ivy (Some people think the first book is a little slow, but it's worth it to get started on the series.)

Those are my 4-5 star series. My 4-star series are:
Warriors of Poseidon, Alyssa Day Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day
The Shadowkeepers, J K Beck When Blood Calls (The Shadow Keepers, #1) by J.K. Beck
Atlantis, Gena Showalter Heart of the Dragon (Atlantis, #1) by Gena Showalter

Some people love Christine Feehan's Carpathian's (Dark) series.

Happy reading!

Christen (GoldiloxReads) | 57 comments I have to second the Demonica series! I've only read the first two so far, but they were wonderful! Definitely paranormal romance and not UF though, there is A LOT of sex! ;) (Oh yay, and there are good story lines too.......)

The Fever series is the most ridiculously addictive series I have ever read. Those books are on my favorites list right after Night Huntress and the Sookie books. They are a weird cross between PNF and UF I'd say - really hard to categorize. Talk about a slow build in a relationship! Sometimes you just want to strangle both characters and tell them to get it on already! :) Darkfever Fever Series 1

Some Girls Bite Chicagoland Vampires 1 is great as well, but not a full on PNR, more of an UF with some romance. Same for the Kate Daniels series Magic Bites Kate Daniels 1 and the Mercy Thompson series Moon Called Mercy Thompson 1.

I also love some of the other series listed above, but be sure you understand which are PNR and which are UF so you are getting what you are looking for!

Happy reading! :)

AlbertaJenn I'm going to go with all those who recommended Demonica by Larissa Ione. A great series, and only 5 books long.

message 12: by Laura (new)

Laura Fonseca (daddy_girl_ynk) | 90 comments I read part of the Dorina Basarab series and LOVED IT . I think I only read the first book (was last year) . Buh yeah Nigh Huntress has been at my top forever .

I wish it were longer! She's coming out with
Eternal Rider (The Lords of Deliverance, #1) by Larissa Ione , her Lords of Deliverance series, and I hope it's as good. But I digress. Please continue with recommendations for Laura... ;)

Well, it is sort of a spin-off of Demonica. The Sems and friends will make appearances. So at least we have that!

Megan Riverina Romantics (meganriverinaromantics) | 15 comments Christine Feehans Dark series is pretty good. Like Suzanne said Kresley Coles IAD series is good. Richelle mead has two other series out beside VA and a VA spin off is comming out in the summer I think. There is a Night Huntress spin off called the Night Huntress WorldFirst Drop of Crimson Eternal Kiss of Darknessalso you could look into the Anita Blake books the UF series by Laurell K Hamilton

Megan Riverina Romantics (meganriverinaromantics) | 15 comments Oh and since you also enjoy YA books look into The House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast

message 20: by Harlequin Books (new)

Harlequin Books (harlequinbooks) | 57 comments I forgot you said YA was ok. So, there is also Maria V. Snyder's Study and Glass series and The Iron Fey serie by Julie Kagawa.

message 21: by Jaime (new)

Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 122 comments Ilona Andrews' books are great, both series. The Magic series is more UF but there is a romantic thread that really grows through the books, and the Beast Lord as hero and sometimes antagonist. The Edge books are more romantic, a different couple in each one. And they're stand-alone.

For post-apocalyptic romance, check out Joss Ware's series. I just finished the first one in the series, and I love her worldbuilding.

The Night Huntress series is great, agreed.

Shana Abe's Dragon series is good too if you like a milder and historical PNR.

I write the Offspring series, which is psychic abilities, X-Files meets Lost type books.

I love Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson books, too, but there isn't a lot of romance in them, at least in the early books. I'm a couple behind right now.

message 22: by Akaria (new)

Akaria Gale | 101 comments Briggs Alpha & Omega series has more romance but the heat factor is low. Anna and Charles are a wonderful couple and it's wonderful to see their relationship grow. Start with the short story in On the Prowl (Alpha and Omega Briggs) (Inhuman Wilks) (Buying Trouble Chance) (Mona Lisa Betwining Sunny) by Patricia Briggs or you'll be lost!

Megan Riverina Romantics (meganriverinaromantics) | 15 comments I'm on Kresley Cole's IAD series at the moment. Trying to catch up for the new release on the 15th! Kiss of a Demon King (Immortals After Dark, #7) by Kresley Cole

Megan Riverina Romantics (meganriverinaromantics) | 15 comments I heard that The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer was really good. I haven't read the Fallen or Hush, Hush books. The rest I've never heard of.

It was exceptional and surprisingly emotional for me.

Megan Riverina Romantics (meganriverinaromantics) | 15 comments Everybody that I know who read it raves about it!

message 34: by Maryab (new)

Maryab Maryab (maryabshire) Keri Arthur's Riley Jenson series is very good too! Main character is half vamp half werewolf. The author has great style and voice. It's definitely for adults ;o)

The Dorina Basarab prequel is in there, too. Or at least it's the story about her roommate that she's looking for in the first book. [bookcover:On the Prowl (Alpha and Omega:Briggs) (Inhuman:Wilks) (Buying Trouble:Chance)|285212]

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 47 comments Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson Lady of Light and Shadows (Tairen Soul, #2) by C.L. Wilson King of Sword and Sky (Tairen Soul, #3) by C.L. Wilson Queen of Song and Souls (Tairen Soul, #4) by C.L. Wilson Crown of Crystal Flame (Tairen Soul, #5) by C.L. Wilson

I know the covers are kinda cheesy, but it is a great story. Reminds me of Lord of the Rings with Romance. Great action with Fey and a Tairen Soul (Fey that can change into a flying cat!)

A totally FABULOUS series!

message 41: by C.J. (new)

C.J. Archer (cjarcher) | 49 comments Keri Arthur's Riley Jensen series is more UF than PNR but definitely has a hot romance thread through it. I highly recommend.

message 42: by Tara (new)

Tara (tarar) | 23 comments Agree with most of the above recommendations, but haven't seen anyone mention the ACRO series by Sydney Croft. It's about secret agent men/women who have super sci-fi abilities. While it may not be your traditional vamp - were - shifter world, it's definitely got some great storylines and characters with hot romance ending in a HEA! Enjoy!
