I didn't like the McCabe trilogy so much, except of the 3rd book which was the best of that series IMO
Not the book I intended for this list, I ended up reading
because I cannot resist the blurb. I really enjoyed, and even though I haven't read any books in this series yet, I thought it did not affect my enjoyment of the characters' romance. 4 stars.

It wasn't that great I really don't know what the book was missing just that I probably wouldn't have finished it were it not for a challenge.. But I will probably pick up the next book in series just to see where the story leads.. 3.5 Stars..

. I've enjoyed the other books in this series but this one was disappointing. It starts out really well but the middle is boring and drawn out and the ending doesn't quite manage to make up for it. Better luck with the next one.

today 8/7. I really liked this one. I loved Laynie and being in her head was interesting. I liked listening to her worries and insecurities about her 'issues'. But I felt like I didn't get to know Hudson as well. A lot of unanswered questions about him. I will definitely read the next one in the series when it comes out. 4*

I think I'm going to read the third Rock Chick book.
I read LucienI gave it 2.5 stars as I really did not understand or connect with the primary characters and the story ends rather abruptly. I guess more will come to light in the later books but I am not sure I care enough to read on. The stars awarded are for the secondary characters whom I found far more interesting, especially in the latter half of the book.

I was thinking of reading this one...thanks for your opinion on it, Ansonja, I'm sorry you didn't like it. Maybe I will read Losing It or Escaping Reality instead, I also have both of those.

You can still give Lucien a try as other reviewers have found it interesting. It just wasn't my cup of tea. Hope you enjoy your reading. :-)

4 stars. The story reminds of Tangled by Emma Chase but I guess this was published first.
"Random Book List #154"I finished reading Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and I gave it 5 stars! It was very cute, I really liked it! It was a unique little love story that was set in New York City and featured The Strand. I will one day visit this bookstore, it sounds awesome!

It was not bad but there are much better books in this series. When Beauty Tamed the Beast is still my favorite.
Can be read as a standalone, has no ties or characters connected to previous books in series. Although, Earl of Chatteris and Honoria Smythe-Smith, from Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn, appear as side characters.
