I read (actually listened to) One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories by B.J. Novak. I purchased the audio version of this book because it had multiple narrators. I recognized a lot of people from The Office and the stories were funny and random and poignant. I gave it *****!

One More Thing Stories and Other Stories by B.J. Novak

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Btw, I finished Tangled (Tangled, #1) by Emma Chase last April 17. I thought it was different, reading the story from a male POV. It was a light read, but there were a few things about the book that make me not totally like both main characters. 4 stars.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I finished reading Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma last June 2. I thought the prose was quite lovely, although I feel the author was a bit heavy-handed in manipulating my emotions. Still an interesting read. 4 stars.

Well-written with very believable and endearing characters, it is a beautiful story of love and loss, of despair and hope. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments this one was more emotional for me, but then being in the military, it was more real...i've seen injuries like that - I was at bethesda the other day (national military medical center) and down in the rehab area and saw lots of amputees etc

message 697: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments I read Rule (Marked Men, #1) by Jay Crownover , and I was really surprised how much I liked it. I got this book a while ago and it's been sitting on my kindle. It did have a lot of the NA angst, I so desperately try to avoid, but this angst was well-deserved so to speak. I am definitely going to continue with the series.

message 698: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) I read Rome (Marked Men, #3) by Jay Crownover for Rule (Marked Men, #1) by Jay Crownover . I have enjoyed this series, but I think this is the best of the three so far. I liked both hero & heroine. Great friendships in these books too.

message 699: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (elizabeth_greece) | 1918 comments I just finished When We Met (Fool's Gold, #13) by Susan Mallery by Susan Mallery, the 13rd installment in the Fool's Gold series and it was not as good as other books in the series, especially the first half was too slow, 3*

message 700: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments Random Book List #189

I finished reading Almost Perfect (Fool’s Gold, #2) by Susan Mallery . It was ok, I wanted to smack the main characters a lot (both of them) but other than that it was good. I would not be so lenient with the main male character as her but then I'm not having sex with him so maybe that's why.
