I finished on 3/15 and although I enjoyed this book it wasn't my favorite of the series. I really liked Payne as a heroine but I wish there wasn't so much revolving around V and Jane.

I finished After Math 5/10. I really liked it. Well worth the .99. The author did a good job with the h's social anxiety issues, I liked that the story was in first person from her perspective. 4*

really? I loved this one. Normally, it's the male chasing the woman, so it was a nice change up to have the woman (Anya) doing the pursuing!

yea, I give a series 2 books. If you don't get me by the end of book 2, then the series is probably not for me.
But it looks like you read them out of order, did you read book 1 first?

No I haven't read book 1 and I rarely read something out of order but in this case I did. There's also the fact that the series is based on Greek mythology, which has been butchered by the author...

Book 1 wasn't that great (LOL). It just explained who they were and laid foundation as to Lucien & Anya. Honestly, I don't think it will enhance your enjoyment of the series if you go back and read book 1.

It's probably a writing style issue for you. i normally don't like mythology in my pnr, which was why I avoided Dark Hunters for a while. I think you are safe in your original assessment that the series isn't for you.

I compared our books and we have similar tastes in Novel.

I was challenged to revisit the books and I enjoyed books 3-6. I haven't not been able to find my groove with Immortal After Dark though :(

Have you tried ? I just finished it on Monday and really enjoyed it. Amazon had it as the kindle deal of the day for $1.99 each for all 3 books. I figured, what the heck? You know what, book 1 was pretty good.

LOL....I thought the main characters are rather shallow. I'm more interested in the damaged sister and the other Sentinel...the one with no more leaves. I find their pairing more intriguing.

I read on the series page that they can be read as standalones but they are in a series and numbered here on goodreads, and I'm too OCD to read them "out of order", even if there really isn't a true order.
