of course, i got halfway through villette not long ago...this might be the impeteus that i need to go back to it
I'm going to go with PG Wodehouse who I have been wanting to try forever but haven't done anything about it. I'll let you know which book in this series soon...
I finished Into The Wild Nerd Yonder today 9/3. I loved it! I adored Jessie, enjoyed all the supporting characters. It felt very realistic- I would want to be friends with Jessie and understood her growing pains. 5*.
I've just finished My Man Jeeves by PG Wodehouse on audiobook. For a humourous book first published in 1919, it still remains relatively relevant. Whilst the stories are all quite similar, I preferred the Jeeves and Wooster episodes more than the Reggie Pepper stories.I would recommend that just one episode be read at a time, as they all start to blend together if read all at once. I found certain phrases extremely repetitive and annoying...
I finished Villette by Charlotte Bronte on 09.04.11. I had a difficult time reading this book. The main character was just plain depressing and for the most part unlikeable. I gave it 3 stars based upon the extraordinary writing of the author.
Random Book List #46Duration: September 13 - October 11, 2011
Based on Charlotte Bronte's Villette and Julie Halpern's Into the Wild Nerd Yonder, here is our new list:

Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles
Jane(PS)- Perfect Chemistry 10/11
I am going to go with The Lying Game or The Distant Hours. I can't decide which one I want to do yet!
I'm going to read Fallen for Passion as I haven't started this series yet & it helps me in another challenge :)
Ok, I am finished. I just read The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger and gave it 4 stars. I must admit I enjoyed it..but at times it seemed like Audrey went into detailing more than necessary and at those moments, the book seemed a bit boring to me. But my overall opinion is that the book is great! I loved Henry and some scenes from the book made me really really sad:( Definitely enjoyable book!
I'm a couple of hours off finishing Perfect Chemistry - really enjoying it. I expect to finish it tomorrow night :)
I finished Perfect Chemistry last night - audiobook. It was a great story with terrific narrators - I highly recommend this to any romance reader (especially the audio version - the male has a beautiful voice and accent). This was not high on my list of 'to read' books but it sucked me in straight away :)
Random Book List #51Duration: October 18-November 15, 2011

Noooooooooooooooooooo! I don't have any of these books on my TBR or at the back of my mind to read! (Or I have crossed the author off my list eg Richelle Mead!)It might have to be Robin McKinley's Sunshine... But I'll read all the blurbs first :)
*********edit**********
OK - looking into it more, I think I'll read The Eyre Affair, or *take a deep breath*, start Outlander... I think I'll put all three (including Sunshine) on the TBR and see what happens :)
Jane, have you read either the Eyre Affair or the Outlander? Both of them are in my TBR already - so do you want to do a buddy read? (Can the next FAC be (conveniently) Jasper Fforde? :P)
Hey Vi - how about The Eyre Affair as a buddy read? I'm concerned Outlander will be one of those books where you have to keep reading the rest of the series, and I have too many other series to finish off, and those are seriously big books (the Outlander series)!!!
Sure, I'm not so very keen on Outlander (yet) so I'm fine with The Eyre Affair. I think I should be able to get the book in a week or so from my library.. So I'm fine anytime after that.
The copy I placed on hold has come in, so I'll pick up the book on Tuesday. I'll be ready from then on Vi :)
Since you'll be picking up on Tuesday, how about we start on Thursday? I guess that would make it 27th October..Jane (PS) wrote: "The copy I placed on hold has come in, so I'll pick up the book on Tuesday. I'll be ready from then on Vi :)"
Grace wrote: "I think I am going to read
"Grace I found this book way too boring. Took me 5 days to read it!!! Can't wait to hear what you think of it:)
Just finished
. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Kinda muddled through it. Finished 10/30. 3 stars
I finished
- my buddy read with Jane - today (31/10). I loved the book. 4 1/2 stars. I'll definitely be picking up the next book in the series.
Me too!! I loved The Eyre Affair - 5 stars! I'll definitely be looking for the next book and I'll also be searching out lost/dropped prepositions to feed the bookworms :) (You have to read it!)Thanks Vi for a great buddy-read!
Room was definitely a different kind of read for me. This was a beautifully crafted book, but it just wasn't for me. So I'm giving it 3 stars.

I finished reading
last night. I was prepared to hate this book as soon as I started it because of the plot but I ended up really liking it. It's told through the eyes of a 5 year old so it's not as grusome as it could've been. Definately worth a read, even if you think you won't like it. Give it a shot, it'll surprise you!
